Vehicle Detail
1973 Firebird Formula 400, matching numbers 400 cu. in. engine with Turbo 400 automatic, working A/C but needs a re-charge. Navajo Orange Poly, white/black interior - original colors. This car is matching numbers, VIN on block matches car. The cylinder heads, intake manifold, distributor, exhaust manifolds are all original. I have the original Quadrajet carburetor and associated air filter assembly which will be included in the sale. An Edelbrock 750 cfm carburetor is currently installed. The Turbo 400 transmission appears to be original. All five wheels are original and date coded the same. I have the original emission equipment: EGR, evap, heat stove pipe, fresh air ducts are complete. I purchased this car from a Fort Worth, TX based car mechanic two years ago. The owner previous to him had many mechanical parts either replaced new or rebuilt: radiator, condenser, belts, hoses, complete brake system, rotors, calipers, shoes, brake hoses, master cylinder, differential rebuilt with new bearings/seals, tires, A/C compressor & hoses, heater core, blower motor, and new factory style exhaust system. I replaced the oil pan gasket and converted the points ignition to electronic. The car has a urethane paint job with color added to clear coat - very nice paint job, has a few blemishes. The inside has new carpet, upholstery, door panels and dash cap which looks great and fits very well. The engine runs great - no smoke - idles smooth and has LOTS of power! This car was sold by B&K Motors in Killeen, TX and spent its entire life in Texas. I have PHS documentation that is included in the sale. The car just had its annual inspection. The 1973 Texas license plates are not included in the sale. The car does have some minor issues: driver’s side rear seat belt does not latch, window washer pump does not work, driver’s side door has small gap when closed, lower driver’s side corner of front valance has a small crack, center console arm rest has a small tear, radio does not work, and the trunk has light surface rust.
