Selling my 1986 Corvette Convertible. Stock 230 hp engine automatic.All of the 1986 convertibles were Pace Cars. Only just over 7000 were made. This one was in the first 900 made for the year. It also was the first year corvette made convertibles again after a long time not making them. This vette is not in show condition. It is in good condition with a clean carfax. That being said, I do believe the front bumper was replace at one time for some reason, but cant confirm why. Nada.com in LOW condition (which this is not) at just under 7k. Average retail is almost 14k. The reason I am selling at a reduce price is that I need to pay for my sons eye surgery. Here is a list of the good and bad: Current just had a maintenance report done on the car and replace all the current issues found (replaced Knuckles and ball joints, water pump, Thermostat, etc) The good: Runs and drives very nice. I use it to drive to the office and back (70 miles round trip)The top is in decent condition, and only has one small inch crack (not all the way through) in the top. It does not need be replaced, but can be if you are minting the car.Tires and steering are great.Engine has no issues I can tell and transmissions shift good too. Paint is decent (not original color or paint), but has started to peel in certain places. Most places its peeling is under hood, door jambs. Factory paint is Silver from what I read about it.Interior is great, no cracks in anything.Has the original air conditioner.All lights work fine saved the engine lights under the hood.Good TiresHave moved the secondary Fan to a switch so if it starts to get warm (1986 Vette's are prone to overheating issues), you can turn on the fan which totally stops this car from overheating, and its quiet (stock secondary fan)Has custom headers identifying them as a Pace Car, and the seats are production seats.The bad:Original Radio, but does not turn on (could be a fuse, Radio, or ?)Heater / Air Conditioner Fan is not working (could be a fuse, Fan unit, or ?)The Indicator Display needs to be replaced. - It can still be viewed, but is bleached out a bit. Also the Tach is not working on the display (sure it will be fixed when it is replaced). Cost for the unit is $250 with core exchange.Needs a cable for the right side release. $20 dollar fix, just haven't had the time. Needs new door window trim.
