Vehicle Detail
RELISTING DUE TO A NO SHOW / NON-PAYING BIDDER I've been having a lot of trouble with false/non-paying bidders in my auctions. For that reason I reserve the right to end this auction to the highest bidder at any time. Sorry for the inconvenience to the honest last second bidders. This is a Malibu from my 93 year old late great uncle's estate. We pulled it from where it sat since the 80s, took it to our shop, cleaned it up and put tires on it. I have a good title for the car, and original keys. The motor is year correct 1971 350 by the block stamp (CGC). The other numbers on the block stamp do not match the vin on the car, so NOT NUMBERS MATCHING. It turns freely by hand, but is not running. The transmission seems to be the original 3 speed manual on the column. The car rolls when the clutch is pushed in. The rear is an open 10 bolt. The frame appears solid except for a soft spot just behind the drivers front tire (pictured), but the floor pans and trunk floor are full of holes. The front fenders are a little beat up and have holes as well. The inner fenders are plastic. The drivers door operated ok, but the passenger door is stuck. The quarters are rotton. The hood and trunklid are garbage as well. The interior seems all original, but needs completely redone. I found no cracks in any of the windows, and the side glass rolls up and down ok, but the windshield has milky areas around the edges. I pictured the corners of the back window to show the lack of typical rot around that area, but no promises about what may be unseen under the trim and glass. The bumpers look pretty good. This is a rusty, rotton old car thats been sitting on a farm for decades. I dont know the story on it, so dont be suprised if you find more issues. I try to explain what I see, thats it. Buyer is responsible for all shipping concerns. The car is fine sitting at my shop for a while if needed. A $200.00 deposit is due through paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment by cash in person or wire transfer is due within 3 days of auction end. No returns or refunds. Thanks for bidding.
