Vehicle Detail
Hi, You are looking at our little VW Bug named Klaus. It was originally a southern vehicle and since it has come to Minnesota it has not seen a winter. The pictures you see are only from pulling it out of a heated garage to take them and putting it right back in the garage. The vehicle started out as a rust free vehicle. The color that it is now is also the original color. It has an engine and transmission that have less then 500 miles on them. All the tires have less then 100 miles on them. They were installed at the end of last summer. All of the brakes and brake components were replaced at the same time the tires were put on. It has a new stereo in it that fits in the factory hole and is made specifically for this vehicle. It has an aux jack in it so you are able to play music from your iPod, iPad, etc. I also put in a speaker that fits in the original speaker hole but is actually two small speakers. This is so you can have stereo sound. All of the steering and suspension components were replaced in the beginning of last summer. The interior was also redone and looks great. Are you getting the picture? Everything is new or refurbished. The only thing that was not replaced was the headliner because I though it was still in great shape. The new paint looks very nice. Car drives like a dream. Here are some upgrades I did. It has a 009 distributor with an electronic ignition for better reliability and less hassle with points. I used a Petronix ignition due to them never failing. It has a Bosche blue-coil in it for more spark. I decided to stick with the stock single port set up but went with a 1600 engine for a bit more power. I upgraded from a Generator to a Alternator. It's just a great almost stock vehicle. The upgrades I did were not to make it fast car, cause it's not, but to make it more reliable by today's standards. It's a vehicle you can just get in and go and not worry about breaking down. Again, everything is new. Check out the pics and let me know if you have any questions. If you need to have this vehicle shipped, I will help with getting it to a shipping yard to save you money. It's usually more expensive to have them come directly to me for pickup. On Mar-24-13 at 12:52:46 PDT, seller added the following information:The heater channels are in great shape. Heat works very well. The lever between the seats controls the heater. On Mar-25-13 at 07:19:27 PDT, seller added the following information:I have had this question 2 times so I thought I would answer it for all to see. This is a 12 volt system. It was converted before I purchased it. It has a brand new battery that I just installed.
