Vehicle Detail

This is not your grandfathers Studebaker. Original Red lacquer paint job dating back to the early 70's. The finish is slightly wearing through in a few places, but it shows how rust and bondo free this body is. There is also no rust on the undercarraige, frame, floors, and rocker panels. While looking stock from the outside, this Buck Rogers looking automobile has been upgraded in all the right places. A Mustang II Fatman IFS Disc brake assembly was the first to be installed, then a 302 Ford V8 with a Holley carb was slid between the shock towers. Power rack and pinion steering. Ceramic coated headers with fhe familiar sound of Flowmaster mufflers are plumbed all the way to the rear bumper. American Racing mags with 4 New tires gets it down the street with style. C4 Automatic Transmission with positive shifts. New electric fuel pump, radiator, alternator, electric fan, stereo, and LED taillights. Electric wipers!!!!!! Working heater, orig glove box manual, Orig door locks. New interior, rear seat belts. How about an accurate speedometer and fuel guage? These two details are often missed by most car builders. This is a true low mileage 96,000 mile car. Front bumper still available, skirts, rear bumperettes...... I FORGOT TO MENTION!!!!!!! The fuel pump has a kill switch...the start button for the starter is under the dash.....you put key in stock ignition, turn it to the on position, switch on fuel pump, push hidden start button. This is the best theft deterent possible. Park this car with confidence knowing it will be there when you return. Also keeps your wife or teenager from sneaking it out of the garage when your not looking. This car may be 63 years old, but it runs and handles like the Mustang Thoroughbred lurking beneath it. If you want to cruise in style and prefer the dependability of a modern car, this is the classic for you. UPDATE: About three weeks ago I took the car over to my friends transmission shop in Norwalk. Jerry's Transmissions. We put it up in the air. There is not a hint of rust anywhere. NONE !!! Its quite amazing. This car has been garaged by the previous owner for over 16 years. I cant vouch for anything before...but here in sunny southern California, the cars last a long time. There is less that 30,000 on the motor / transmission / and rear end. The body is bondo and rust free. There are a few spots where you can see the leaded seams. If you paint the car, they can be filled or welded. Personally, the leaded seams give the body character. The car drives perfect.....I had Jeremy adjust the modulator in the side of the transmission to make the car shift at 25 mph and 50mph. Its a great high performance feel....its a simple twist of a screw driver into the modulator. It can be set back to 20 and 40 mph if you want more fuel economy. The engine starts right up...purrs like a kitten.....its a great car if you like the bullet nose look and dont care for 1950 suspension and drive train. All the guages work, the heater works, brake lights work...stops on a dime and gives change. I cant drive it as much as I want to...so here it is offered for sale. It will make any Bullet nose lover a fine automobile to either cruise or hotrod down the boulevard. Since the exhaust is out the back...it has a nice low, quiet deep tone to it that cannot be heard in the car and is not obnoxious at all to people in the street. I am having trouble making the detachable face radio work, it lights up but doesnt make a sound. Easy fix Im sure Hello.....I just added 4 additional photos to show the rust free undercarraige. Notice the rust free floors / rails / and suspension. - thelukester
