1964 Austin healey sprite. full restoration, unibody painted inside and out top to bottom base coat and clear, rechromed original bumpers, new grille, grille surrounds, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, light assemblies, all trim pieces, rubber, etc have been replaced. rivergate 5-speed conversion, re built hi performance 1275 motor with $1500 aluminum head, and single weber carb, rebuilt from the case up! new pistons, rings, cam, crank, head, etc. external electric fan with automatic operation on stock 1275 radiator. brand new complete wiring harness, all new custom color upholstery in original pattern, all new rubber, everything on this car has been replaced, minilite aluminum rims, new low profile tires, 12 volt negative ground system, with cd player and speaker system, runs like beast, turns heads everywhere it goes, less then 500 miles since completion. interior was custom made from gray vinyl with black piping replicated from original patterns, hidden pleats in the centers, new seat pads etc, custom sewn carpet in grey with grey vinyl binding, kick panels, door panels, and dash upholstered to match, looks and feels incredible, custom wood steering wheel, and factory look on the shift housing. new gas tank, sending unit, all gauges restored and tested, calibrated, etc. speedo and tach, gas gauge all beatiful and functioning as they should. jet coated headers, looks pretty much stock if you are unaware of the paint and interior combinations available from the factory......except this little sprite has a hi performance 1275cc motor under the hood, hooked to a datsun 5 speed transmission and Rivergate conversion kit/bellhousing adapter, heavy duty clutch, hydraulic brakes, hydraulic clutch, breather system. car was stripped down, all fenders, and suspension removed, all rust dents, etc, repaired professionally, many parts blasted and powdercoated, epoxy primed, body work done, painted with a custom 57 chevy paint and several coats of clear. looks incredible. does not have convertible top or side window lights restored, but the originals are included if you live in a climate that may require them.,The car was built for use here in san diego CA where it spent all of its life and there was no use for a top! but it does have working heat The vehicle is owned by a close friend who has owned it since 1977, and titled in his name since then, recently restored and only driven on weekends. over 10k in engien and trnsmission conversion alone, and about the same in paint and interior, reserve is set at about half of what spent to restore this car!! get ready for summer with a sporty classic..... will assist with international shipping, and will even deliver to port of longbeach/LA for small fee, or free if use the buy it now option for you overseas buyers..About the Sprite/Midget 5-Speed Kit Are you tired of your Spridget engine buzzing at 4000 RPM at cruising speed? Fed up with expensive transmission overhauls - over and over? Do you wear out your clutch because you can’t shift to low on the move? The Rivergate Five Speed Conversion Kit may be just what you need. Our kit uses a Datsun 210 transmission. These gearboxes are very reliable and give excellent performance. Imagine being able to shift into low gear at 5 or 10 miles per hour. The synchronized low gear in the Datsun transmission will let you do that. With the overdrive fifth gear you can cruise at 60-65 MPH at 3,000-3,300 RPM - nice and quietly, too. This transmission is noticeably quieter than even a perfect stock Spridget gearbox. Since the car is not cut or altered in any way the kit is invisible unless you open the hood and then not much shows except the edge of the aluminum adapter plate between your engine and transmission and it looks better than the iron plate anyway. This is the most complete, easiest to install 5-speed kit ever made for the Sprite/Midget. It requires no modification to the engine, the flywheel, the driveshaft or to the chassis or body of your Sprite or Midget.
