Vehicle Detail
I bought this car to check off two things on my bucket list. 1) own and drive a shelby cobra 2) run an autocross I did both of these things and I highly recommend that you do the same. These are amazing vehicles especially this one that has perfect fit and finish, I drive it to work and on weekends and also raced the autocross at good guys lone star nationals. the car drives outstanding on the street and I hav never had more fun than pushing it to its limits on the track, you have to experience this even if you pass the car on afterwards as I am. Guys explain to your wives that this isnt an average kit car, it is very safe and you can get all the info you need about its construction on factory fives website. this car is titled in texas as a 1965 shelby so you can run antique tags if you like. motor - roush 427 small block ford rated at 495 hp trans - tremec close ratio 5 speed steering -manual rack & pinion brakes - manual disc roll bar, custom car cover, custom cockpit cover for rain driving, heater, radio, flawless paint, perfect 50/50 weight distribution, coilover shocks, it's tight, clean, and has 0 issues at all. this car was appraised by grundy for 50,000 for my insurance. it's not the average build from joe schmo's garage. it is a pro build and powdercoated frame etc. here is a short video walkaround http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4fO4hn6jq0 this is a factory five kit car - the best performance cobra kit available they advertise 0-60 in 3.9 and 0-100 in 9 seconds. that was with a stock 300hp motor, this one is 495! u do the math, it's freeking fast ! feel free to contact me with any questions cori 214-336-6759 happy bidding. reserve is 30kOn Mar-24-13 at 17:33:48 PDT, seller added the following information: The reserve has dropped to $28500 your about to be bidding to buy!!!!!!On Mar-25-13 at 08:14:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear ironfiregold, My particular car is a mark1 as best as I can research it and I'm not sure of the build date. The rear suspension is the mustang 4 link with additional horizontal shocks to control wheel hop, which it does perfectly. The car handles awesome and I have seen a lot of debate as to whether the 3 link or 4 link is better, my understanding is that the upgraded 3 link is a direct bolt in for any of their kits. I personally wouldn't change a thing, the car handles very predictable like it is. There is plenty of room in the price to swap it, I have 50k in this car and it would appear it's gonna sell for about 35k. whoever buys it has saved plenty of money to modify anything to their preference. Thanks the last pic is from ffr's site not my actual car but this is the setup I have. Just being lazy and didn't wanna take off the wheel lol.
