Vehicle Detail
This motorcycle is in excellent, but not new/showroom condition. It has brand new fork gaiters, all oils have been replaced this month, and an X2 Power non-spillable battery that is only three months old. Hard saddlebags, currently off the bike, and Mikuni carburetors, currently on the bike, come with it. The manual, under-seat tool box with tools, and original Bing carburetors are available and come with the bike as well. To see the bike start and run, please see a brief YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSClxMFXmkc Backstory: My father's passion was old British motorcycles--mostly BSAs. I vividly remember using the headlamp of one bike which was placed in the living room to see the tracks on an album before dropping the phonograph needle. In my twenties, my girlfriend and I moved to Montana. It was a great place, but very unforgiving for an unreliable British bike. When we were married twenty years ago, my father gave us this reconditioned BMW as a wedding gift: It was a classic bike we could count on to run for hundreds of miles. About fifteen years ago, we moved to Georgia and I used it to commute to work and college for about one year. After that, we could afford two cars, so we drained the fluids and stored it in a shed. Life is getting ready to change once again and this seems like the right time to let another have adventures with this beautiful machine.
