Vehicle Detail
This is a 1953 Buick Special 2 door hardtop They were referred to as hardtop convertible's in those days. A matching number car with only 3 previous owners including my self. I have never registered the car in my name. It runs and drives very good. It has all the original running gear and nothing has been replace. The only thing that has been changed is the interior. No mechanical parts have been changed. This car has not been restored, It has been painted 3 years ago, back to the original color yellow with emerald top. It has all new interior just finished this month, including the trunk, It is a 2 door hardtop Strait 8 engine runs very quite and needs no work. Standard transmission works very well and need no work Tires should be replaced if driven much. Has good brakes, clutch Ha original working am radio Original jack Original owners manual Has new floor pans in the rear seat are and need one on the front passenger side. The front bumper is nice but the rear bumper needs to be re-chromed and some other parts need to be re-chromed. The interior parts are all original and pretty nice. This is the original seats that were in the car. The interior dash and trim is original colors, black and gray. So we did the seats, headliner and door panels to match the dash and trim. The windows are all good and the trim on them is nice. Need weather strip on vent glass. Has some new weather stripping, but need a little more to finish it up Trunk area is in really good condition, with a little minor surface rust. The car is an original Arkansas car so not exposed to salted roads that cause rust. It was owned by the lady who purchased it new, until her death and was left to her nephew. I bought it from him and have owned it for apox 6 years, I am the 3 owner. The nephew gave me a folder with pictures and documents that his aunt kept of the car. He said that she lost her eyesight and could not drive the car for years, but would not sell it. That is about all the history I have on the car.
