Offered for sale is the 1978 Honda Hawk Hondamatic CB400A. This is a rare and collectible automatic motorcycle with 193 original miles. Originally purchased out of Utah, it has been in my motorcycle collection for 8 years. It is ridden about 5 miles each year, and started periodically for maintenance. The Honda Hawk Hondamatic was designed and built for only two years, 1978 and 1979. Two colors were available: Tahitian Red and Candy Sapphire Blue. The engine was a 395cc 4-stroke OHC parallel twin with two CV carburetors. The transmission was a 2-speed automatic with torque convertor. This motorcycle is all original and includes new tires. It is in pristine original condition, with the exception of slight damage on one side of the fuel tank, damaged during storage. It is a great collectible timepiece from another era, and is quickly becoming a desirable collector bike. This motorcycle runs and drives like a 35 year old motorcycle should. It is taken for short rides, on a yearly basis, and otherwise is part of a larger collection.
