Vehicle Detail

This was my business vehicle. I used it for calling on and entertaining clients. It was important to me that my guests feel comfortable and safe. It has a very comfortable back seat with lots of legroom, and a factory sunshade ( which expands or retracts at the touch of a button) for keeping the summer sun off the necks of the rear seat passengers. My two large sons, 6' and 6' 4, never complain about sitting in the back seat. Reason to sell - I'm selling because I have retired and the kids have grown and left home. I seldom drive anywhere with one guest in the car, let alone 3 or 4. We have 5 vehicles for two licensed drivers, so it makes sense to get rid of one or two. About the Azera - If you are not familiar with the Azera, it is a Luxury Sport Sedan. It has the "get up and go" of a sports car, as well as the comfort and amenities of a luxury sedan. I have 3 grown children who can all sit in the back seat together with no complaint. This model Azera has more interior room than the E-Class Mercedes Benz and the BMW 7 Series for the same model year. Under the hood it is a lot of car - 3.8 l Fuel Injected V-6 with 263 horsepower; 0-60MPH in 6.2 seconds. It has great acceleration to get out of the way of trucks or congestion on the highway. It has a tight turning circle - 37.4 feet - so is easy to park and maneuver in tight spaces. It is a genuine pleasure to drive. This may sound odd, but one of the main reasons I chose this make and model is the active head restraints. This kind of head rest is the most comfortable for a driver and front seat passenger in that they do not force your head forward when you are driving, but come up to meet your head and neck in the event of a sudden stop. Another feature that makes this car so comfortable to drive is the power adjusting steering column, the power adjusting foot pedals, and the 8 position power adjustable drivers seat. It is possible to get just the right fit no matter your height, leg length, or arm length. There is a button to record two different settings. Use this for two different drivers; or for one driver to vary the fit between styles of driving; or to break up the monotony of a long day in the car. No matter what anyone does to the seat adjustment, or the steering column, all I have to do is touch one button and everything returns to my preferred setting. The trunk is very spacious. The trunk combined with the folding rear seats allowed me to get all my projection equipment (including a 7.5' screen, speakers, speaker stands, folding projection table, amplifier, boxes of brochures, etc... into the car for the seminars I was doing in 2009. Condition - The car interior and exterior is in very good to excellent shape. Mechanically it is perfect - no leaks, and no performance issues. It has been garaged and dealer maintained. I've included pictures and tried to show every inch of the exterior. Interior pictures are hard for me to take but I did my best. Generic interior shots are readily available online if you are unfamiliar with this model - just google "2008 Azera interior". By way of full disclosure... On the exterior there are two visible scratches in the right front wheel, but no distracting door dings or scratches elsewhere. On the interior, on the driver side door post there is what looks like a cigarette burn in the upholstery. The car has been smoke and smoker free since I've had it but apparently the prior owner was a smoker. There is no residual smoke smell. And I am not aware of any other mark on the interior. All the tires are in good shape, two with about 50% of their tread, two with about 20%. The car makes a very good impression on friends, neighbors, and clients. It is the perfect car for real estate agents, or anyone who frequently has guests in their car; or anyone who makes a living from their automobile. The rear sun screen is one of my favorite features. It keeps the rear seat comfortable, and the entire car cool when you park with the rear end of the car facing the sun and tilt open the moon roof. The car is in really great shape and I am proud of the care it has received and they way it has been maintained. Equipment - You can see that the list of options is extensive. This model Azera had what the factory calls the "Ultimate" package - every option available from the factory except a built in navigation system. I specifically did not want the built in navigation system, preferring something easier to upgrade and less expensive to replace as technology advances. I did have the dealer install a remote start system, and tint the side and rear windows, which adds to the look, keeps the car cooler in warm weather, but does not interfere with a driver's ability to see clearly and drive defensibly. Regarding gas mileage - This vehicle uses regular unleaded gas. The Factory sticker said 19/26 MPG. I average 23-25 mpg in combination city and highway driving. That drops quickly if I hot dog around town. It also goes down in the winter time when I let the car idle more to warm up. For straight interstate highway driving it gets 29-32 mpg depending on how heavy the foot is; and for highway/country roads it does about 26 to 28 mpg. For example - On a one day trip from Providence, RI to Long Lake in Maine and back, over 300 miles, the average was 28.5 mpg. This is excellent gas mileage for a car that can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 6.2 seconds. There is an on board computer that helps track mileage performance. History - I am the second owner of this vehicle. This was a custom purchase at auction for me by by Route 44 Hyundai, in Raynham, MA. They looked for it for about 3 weeks. I purchased it from them on April 28, 2009. The information in Car FAX regarding the 2nd owner, as reported by RMV, is mistaken. The first owner, I am told, was a Hyundai dealer. All scheduled maintenance has been performed by Route 44 Hyundai. The maintenance records are in their computer system for verification. Warranty - There is still time and mileage left on the factory warranty. According to the Fidelity Warranty Services in Deerfield Beach, FL (phone 866 367 9040) the warranty is transferable. The cost to transfer is $40. I verified this myself some time ago. Warranty transfer will be the responsibility of the buyer. I will gladly supply any letters or copies of other paperwork needed to complete this process. Pricing Logic - As of today there are 6 2008 Azera Limiteds listed on CarMax. Their respective mileages and prices are - 30k & $16,988; 39k & $15,599; 54k & $15,998; 59k & $15,998, 59k & $13,998 and 63k & $13,998. AutoTrader's listings are comparable. The Kelly Blue book Value for Excellent condition is $12, 899 and for Very Good condition is $12,449. Their appraisal process puts this car somewhere in between very good and excellent. The Edmunds.com appraisal is $10,875 as a trade in; $12,656 as a private party sale; and $14,465 as a dealer retail sale. Carfax said the value is retail less $350. I've priced it to sell. Let's see what the market place thinks it is worth. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Please email me with any questions. Warm Regards!
