Nice Original 280ZX Turbo, T-Tops All The Options For That Year! The Nissan/Datsun 280 ZX was produced from 1979 through 1983 as a three-door hatchback sport coupe. In the American market, the 280ZX was sold as a Datsun and in other markets it was badged as a Nissan.It was built as a replacement for the 280Z, a complete redesign keeping only the L28 engine and a few other mechanical components. It sat atop of the Nissan 510's platform and suspension comprised of McPherson struts in the front and an independent rear trailing arm. To improve performance, a turbocharger was offered as optional equipment beginning in 1981. The L28ET engine and turbocharger increased horsepower to an impressive 180. The gearbox was a 3-speed automatic unit. Adding to the performance, a Borg-Warner T-5 5-speed manual gearbox became available in 1982 and 1983. These cars are getting harder to find in their original condition. A 6000 mile car recently sold for over $26,00.00 dollars, making these models very collectable. Condition: This car is in very nice shape, no rust or detoration anywhere on the car. The paint looks awesome from 10 feet, upon closer inspection it does have some normal wear and tear for a car that age, nothing to alarming but a few tiny rock chips on the hood. It may have had some very minor paint work in the left quarter. I dont think that it was substantial work or it could even be some fading. The interior is in great shape, all original with the original mats, T-Top bags and no signs of abuse. The original stripes on the car were tape and it has come off in some areas, new stripe tape would make a big difference on this car. As you will see in the photos there is a door ding in the drivers door, I will have the Dent Dr. fix that before the new owner takes delivery. Over all this car is a 7+ and it wouldnt take alot to make this car a 10! Please bid with confidence on this car, I dare say that cars this nice just dont come along very often! I have one negative feedback from a grinder over a $100 pair of Bose Speakers, he didnt want his money back he wanted a discount, I said No, he gave me bad feedback before I had a chance to respond! Dont judge me on that one, I managed an ebay department for a huge dealer group and sold 100's of vehicles with not one Negative feed back. My only option was to give him Positive feedback, doesnt seem fair! Legal: The vehicle is located in Beautiful Ft.
