What you need to know about Trabbis: Trabis are starting to find a following as a classic, small, very simple mini car built in the East Germany By East German auto maker VEB SachsenringAutomobilwerke Zwickau in Zwickau, Sachsen. They have built almost 3,000, 000 million pieces from 1957-1991 . Trabis are small, simple, air cooled cars, much like classic VW beetles, With front wheel drive, A-arm suspension, and all independent suspension, they were very modern when they were introduced in the 1960s. The fan driven air cooled system is very much like that of the air cooled Porsche 911.It's really fun to drive . They are really easy to repair. The two stroke two cylinder engine goes with a gasoline-oil blending. Now you can own a piece of History Conditions: The Engine is not the original is replaced with a rebuilt 600 cc 12 volt system from a younger 601 model. All the brakes an tires brand new. The painting for the car is the similar color as the factory original. All the seats have a new upholstery ,carpet foam changed, we try to make similar as the original design. The frame, chassis is in allover good condition no rust -rust bubbles and previous damages . There are some missing parts for the Trabi like(mirror, front sign,..)but we are currently looking for it or we can help with the purchase and also in the future to get parts. Since we are talking about 50 years old car there are some things what you will find that need to be fixed but if you like to convert the trabi for your own taste you will enjoy to do that things.
