Vehicle Detail
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false Having you been looking for something that no one else has and maybe something you’ve never in your life seen, this is the one. The truck has a 100% Missouri history behind the rich patina that is now present. The truck began life as a Telephone & Telegram truck for the City Of Overland MO., which was incorporated in 1939. As you may know, World War II was present and at that time the Metropolitan Transportation Committee was organized and several utility vehicles where used for different sources. As you can see through the thin layers of paint the word Sherriff appears. I’m not sure what they would have used this truck for but at that time vehicles where considered very rare. Most of the steel was being used for the army and vehicles just weren’t being built. This particular truck was bought later by a gentleman from Foristell MO. The application for license is still present from 1956. Later the truck was sold to another gentleman from Troy MO. He owned the truck for the next 44 years. With that being said, the truck can be traced back to its original owners. Today, the tuck has been converted into a Rat Rod. As you can see from the pictures, the truck has all the patina; this is not a faux paint job like so many others. This truck has been converted for a more modern drive though. The chassis is still the original 42’ rails but now carries a rack in pinion steering unit in lieu of the old steering box. As far as the engine, it’s been pulled and replaced with a late model 350 engine mated to a Turbo 350 transmission. The rear end was also swapped out with a late model Camaro unit. The original drum brakes have been replaced with disc and a new master cylinder and all new stainless hard and flex lines are in place now. The wiring on this old rig had seen its better day and now has been replaced with a complete Painless system. As far as drivability, the truck drives like a new one now… By the looks, the truck may appear to be pulled from the woods or maybe the barn but believe me, when you put your hand on the Genie shifter and mash the pedal you better be holding on. The truck runs great and needs nothing but a new owner. This is truly one of the most rare trucks to ever hit eBay. Don’t let it get away; this is a no reserve auction. This means the highest bidder is the winner; no games just bid to win. I welcome anyone to view the truck in person of by third party. I am a worldwide seller with many resources for international transportation. I accept bank wire transfers and PayPal for full payment. I also accept VISA/MC for deposit. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you and good luck with your bidding… Telephone: (855) ROD ~ RIDE or (314) 393 ~ 2123
