Vehicle Detail

The Good: - The rear transaxle pinion bearing has been repaired at approximately $6,000. A bane for 968 owners. Don't buy one unless you check for this or expect an expensive surprise around 90,000 miles. - 17 inch tires with scoop rims. - M030 sport modifications with upgraded shocks, sway bars and roll bar. The brakes may be upgraded as well but I'm not sure and don't want to list anything that isn't there. Handles like a dream! - Maintained by a Porsche only garage. The Bad: - One of the front fog-lights is damaged. - It can use a paint-job. - The cruise control doesn't work. - The rear wiper was removed and the rear defrost doesn't work. - One of the gears for the sun-roof is broken. - The driver side door doesn't always automatically lock when you use the passenger door. - The brakes and clutch are fine but they haven't been replaced in a while and I am pretty sure they'll need replacing soon. - The hood was damaged several years ago and they repaired it very nicely and it looks great but it's not in its original shape underneath. There are minor rock chips that were touched up. On Jan-18-13 at 14:45:56 PST, seller added the following information: Additional photos have been added. - All tires. The driver side rims were refinished last year and are in very good shape. The passenger side rims have curb damage. - The front, rear and front driver's side panel are shown in more detail to show where paint is needed, damage to one light and rock damage in the front. - The hood does not have very much rock damage as it was repainted two years ago.On Feb-26-13 at 09:50:56 PST, seller added the following information: Update: A photo of the engine will be added as soon as eBay lets me upload it. New information: - I included a photo of the steering fluid canister. The hose to the steering fluid container looks like it has some of the insulation on the outside melted. I don't think there's a leak in the hose but it's definitely not at 100%. - There's a photo of the oil filter that was modified. It sticks up next to the steering fluid canister and takes a special cartridge. It's supposed to be an upgrade of some type, dumps oil on the engine immediately or something but I'm not sure if it adds any value. It is extremely easy to replace though. - I brought it to the mechanic a couple of weeks ago and he thought that there may be a small leak in the seal on top of the engine. He said I could check it out and replace it myself if it was leaking but I don't do that. I've looked for an oil leak and haven't found one but sometimes see a little oil on the side of the engine. - I'm checking out one of the rear rims as someone pointed out it might not be the same. The tires on the rear and the front all match. I'll update again if I find anything.
