A late 2003 model year car; I am the second owner of almost 7 years; have tons of maintenance records. Even though the car is titled and registered in Ohio, it has been with me in Houston for the last 6 years. Currently about 136,000 miles; excellent shape - exterior 8/10, interior 9/10. Aluminum trim. Every option, including privacy screens and M sound. Maintained meticulously by an engineer-owner. Everything works. No dead pixels on the instrument pod; a few gray ones popped on the "infotainment" screen, but not obtrusive. All 3 keys (two main and a valet key included - I dare you to find a car sold with all 3!! :-)) CD changer is there and operational, but I converted to DICE iPod, which will be included. I did replace the stock illuminated gear shift knob with a weighted aftermarket one. Mostly highway miles (getting 21.3 mpg, with, ahem, spirited driving). Clutch pulls strong (replaced at about 80K) -- given highway driving, not much shifting... A few rock chips here and there, primarily in front, but nothing major. Not a garage queen, but not abused either. Minor curb rash on a couple of wheels. Let me tell you that I am a VERY, VERY reluctant seller, and will not sell it for a low-ball offer. This is absolutely a fantastic car, it has a lot of life left - the E39s are essentially bullet-proof with proper maintenance. If you are looking for one, you know what this car is about. Please be somebody who appreciates this special machine, rather than someone who is looking for an inexpensive transportation. The original price tag was almost $76,000 - see photo. DICE iPod unit is nice, actually - you can see the song description right in front of you, on the instrument cluster, as a ticker tape - thought I'd comment on that. Almost new OEM mats, too.
