Listing for a relative... No reserve auction... Stunning 2002 Mercedes Benz G500 with 110k miles for sale. One of the most recognizable suvs on the road. Produced for many years by Mercedes Benz and G wagons were originally designed for rigorous military use. This car has never been off roaded or abused. Last owner was a woman who used it for her local driving and occasional trips to Tahoe or Napa. It was sold new by Mercedes Benz of Encino California on 5/17/2002. Owned in California since new. It has never been out of California. The car has been previously damaged as a result of an accident or other incident on 8/15/2003 per Carfax report. The car had 18k miles at time of incident and was subsequently professionally repaired two months later 10/30/2003. The repair was extensive enough for the title to be salvaged. Other than the information listed on carfax I dont have any pictures or description of exact damage etc. My mechanic has inspected the car and said the work has been repaired properly and car tracks straight with no alignment issues or abnormal tire wear. The car runs flawlessly and strong. The G500 has extensive service history posted on carfax from Mercedes of Encino and Downtown Los Angeles Mercedes Benz. The latest services are from Smythe European in San Jose California and Autobahn Motors in Belmont California here in the Bay area. This car has great service history and meticulous previous owners. **Note: As you notice it has been upgraded with a few nice additions like the 18 inch AMG G55 wheels and tires. These are NOT included with the sale and wheels will be sold separately for $1700 on top of closing bid price. The car will be sold with the factory 18 inch Mercedes Benz factory wheels with good tire tread. The grill has been upgraded to the 2010 G wagon grill with thicker slats and chrome finish. It really looks different and newer compared to the stock grill. Other upgrades include a rear entertainment system with dual tv monitors in headrests and wireless headphones. Also it has a bluetooth EGO flash bluetooth that integrates with the factory sound system for hands free driving. Works great with iPhone and other smart phones. I just had the car serviced last month and replaced both front window regulators with the updated trouble free oem Mercedes regulators from 2006 and newer G wagons. Cost was over 1k. This is a common failure item on G wagons but after this updated regulator you will never have to replace them again. Also the oil and filter was changed. Some of the issues with the car now are: Car does not have a sunroof switch in overhead console. It does have a sunroof and sunroof motor but no switch. Odd but this is how I got the car and selling it the same way, missing AC knob, left rear door lock does not unlock with unlock button, back up camera works intermittently, soft hood dent on right side, spare tire cover has tiny dings, drivers plastic seat trim broken, carpet on drivers side floor peeling back a bit. It is a great G wagon and drives very well. Despite its history it is a beautiful truck and you would not even notice anything has happened. I have owned other G wagons and this one drives very well and solid. You can bid with confidence and drive this truck anywhere. Title in hand and 3 keys. Passes smog perfectly.
