This 68 El Camino is an intact SS with a clear title. Rolling and ready for resurrection, resto or race. I have stored it, as it sits now, in a dry open-air barn since 1982. No power train… No hood. No seats or console. STILL INTACT, ASSEMBLED AND ORIGINAL ARE THE: HOOD HINGES - HEATER CORE - LIGHTS & ELECTRICAL ALL CHROME TRIM & EMBLEMS, EXCEPT SOME GRILLE PIECES - SUSPENSION FRONT DISC BRAKES – PEDALS – BUMPERS STEERING & ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL ORIGINAL SS DASH AND GAUGES WITH GOOD DASH PAD AND HEADLINER. ALL IN GOOD SHAPE The body is straight but fair overall. It is also exceptionally clear of rust, except for the roof, which has significant exterior rust damage from the original vinyl top, removed 20 years ago. It is almost a given that it needs to be replaced above the roof seam. I had prepared to install a roll cage at the same time. The rest of the car does not have the typical rust issues found on an El Camino. The entire floor, rocker panels, all exterior body panels, cowl, window frames, pillars, doors and the entire bed are solid; with only normal wear, dings and surface rust. The only actual “dent” is a small dimple at the front point of the left front fender. None of the typical trouble spots for rust through. The tailgate is solid, but has some old filler, as does an adjacent bed corner, as if they were dented at the same time long ago. All glass is in very good condition except the windshield. Windows & wings all operate well. The passenger side exterior door handle is broken off, but the lock and internal workings are good. Please e-mail your questions before bidding.
