You are looking at a rare 1988 Chevrolet R30 (3+3 Dually) Crew Cab Car Hauler. It was sold brand new with a Herring Hauler Bed and was used at a Corvette custom shop in West Memphis when new. It is RUST FREE!!!!! I drove it back to Maryland with me May of 2011 and have barely used it. It has a 454 TBI engine, TH-400 transmission with power everything. It has dual tanks and the bed does not have a dent in it anywhere. I am selling because I do not have anywhere to keep it inside and I do not want it to start rusting. Last time I drove it it sputtered a little, but it has been sitting for the last year..barely used. It will start right up and everything on it is relatively easy to fix or repair. I drove it from Memphis to Alabama then to Maryland in May 2011 1200 miles with no problems. With that said..anything could happen. I went through the brakes, (new rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders, 1 new drum, axle seals and serviced the rear diff)) changed eng oil, tuned up, R-134 conversion to the A/C system and repaired a few of the lights and had a new single 3 inch Flowmaster exhaust installed. The interior is in great shape..drivers side has a few small tears. The wheels and tires on it are driveable but would recommend replacing soon. This is considered a 1 ton truck..so it will not require special insurance unless you are using it for a business. The Herring bed has 2 rails that clip to the cab over support so you can haul two cars at once with the wheellift on the back, The wheel lift on the rear works but the "L" brackets have been cut off. OR...you can lay the 2 rails flat and haul a car like a regular roll back..it is very cool and gets attention everytime I drive it. It has a working winch mounting up top with remote switch for easy loading. Very cool retro truck.
