Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1966 Ford Mustang C Code Coupe. I have owned this car since 2009 but it is time to pass her along to someone else. She has been my occasional daily driver during this time, and has been very reliable for me. She has been stored in garaged/covered parking the vast majority of the time I have owned her and I have tried to avoid driving her in inclimate weather. Although the car is a C Code, the engine would seem to put out significantly more power than that would indicate. Going on the highway for extended periods at 70-80 mph does not even make this car sweat. I did not build the engine so I do not know too many specifics about it, nor have i ever had it dynoed, but it starts, idles and runs strong, as indicated in this video: http://youtu.be/gN04BsU2ZQs The engine currently has an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor on it. By my understanding, the original C Code had single exhaust, whereas this car has dual exhaust, but as the system was installed by a previous owner I unfortunately do not know too much about it. The car has a very nice and stylish red and white custom interior that matches wonderfully with the beautiful exterior two-tone paint job. I have made some improvements to the car during my period of ownership including having front disc brakes professionally installed to replace the original drums. The car has LED taillights and halogen headlights installed for increased visibility and safety. Also, within the past 50 miles, the transmission along with a couple other associated items have been replaced and a new C-4 3-Speed Automatic has been professionally installed as indicated by a picture of the receipt. I had a new battery put in within the past couple of weeks as well. The instrument cluster lighting has been changed from an original blue/green to a red tinted color to go with the overall color of the car. The car has a basically new high-quality JVC Arsenal KD-A735BT head unit. This has bluetooth capabilities, a USB/I-Pod Cable in the glove compartment, a microphone on the steering column, etc. There is one front Sony speaker, two Pioneer 5x7 speakers in the back, and a JL Audio 12" Subwoofer located in the trunk with associated amp mounted to the back of it. This sub has hardly ever really used, as I received it as a present and simply do not listen to music with heavy bass. It can be easily removed when trunk space becomes an issue. The wheels are Magnum 500s purchased from Virginia Classic Mustang. The front wheels are 15x7, and the back wheels are 15x8. The Current tires installed are BF Goodrich Traction 2056015 and 2156015. The miles indicated are not original as I am sure the odometer has rolled over, but I do not know specifically how many miles the frame has driven. Other things that have been professionally replaced/maintenanced during my ownership include: distributor cap, rotor, and assembly, ignition coil, voltage regulator, spark plugs and wires, axle bearings, axle seals, brake pads, leaf springs, the rear differential has been rebuilt, hood, left and right fenders, front bumper, left quarter panel, both doors, parking brake cable, rod bushings, idler arm, brake hoses, wheel cylinders, ball joints, fuel pump, oil pump, master cylinder, radiator, water pump, temperature sensor, thermostat, proportion valve, battery cables, gauge feed wiring, turn signal switch, tail light body and assembly etc. I have the receipts for virtually everything that has been done to the automobile during my period of ownership. The only real significant cosmetic issue with the car is the shown left quarter panel paint missing. This happened relatively recently or else I would have had it repainted, and I have not yet even attempted to buff any of the offending party's paint out. No rusting has occurred with this, and it appears to me to be entirely cosmetic with no actual damage occurring to the fender itself. I doubt it would be a very expensive repaint at all. Even if one was to not do anything about it immediately, it is not particularly noticeable, as indicated in the full-view pictures. As far as shipping is concerned, I can drive the car to anywhere in Gainesville, and I will cooperate with a shipper's needs in any reasonable way that I can. I encourage anyone interested to consider inspecting the car personally or to consider having someone local inspect it at my place of residence. A non-refundable $500 deposit via Paypal will be required within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment is required within 7 days of auction close.
