Vehicle Detail

This was a one family owned car until I purchased it last year. This car sat under a cover for many years in the owners back yard. When I purchased the car it ran but ran rough. I pulled the valve covers and found two slightly bent push rods so I had the heads professionally removed and completely rebuilt with hardened valve seats to run unleaded. The cylinders looked great with no wear whatsoever, so I just replaced all the valve train components with new stuff. Nothing fancy, all stock. The car runs great! Idles smoothly and no smoke at all. I removed the A/C compressor and hoses and placed them in a box in the trunk. The A/C actually worked before I removed the components. The transmission shifts nice and has the car VIN on it. Does tend to leak a little around the pan when the car sits for a time. Power steering works great but it too has some leakage probobly from dried seals. No leaks from the engine or rear end. The rear is POSI. Has the sway bar and boxed control arms. Front disc brakes that are in great shape. Car handles and drives very nice. I would not hesitate to drive this cross country. 94K original miles. Car was purchased new in Denver and spent it's entire life in very Dry Pueblo Colorado. Have the original owners manual, Protecto-plate, and two build sheets. Now for the good news. The car was owned by and older lady who didn't molest anything about the car. The dash is not cut. Has the original working AM/FM 8 track player. No rips or wear on any of the door panels. Dash pad has no cracks. Two small rips in the headliner that have been mended. Has the original carpet that is still very nice. Back seat is very Nice. Back package tray is nice but has some sun damage. Still has the original working speakers in back. The passengers bucket seat has the original cover and is still very nice. The drivers side cover was badly ripped so I put on a temorary very nice replacement. The trunk and floor pans have no rust at all. Still has the original spare and jack. The cowl hood still functions. All lights, turn signals, brake lights, and backup light work. Key buzzer works. Horn works. Dome light and glove box light work. Have the original air cleaner but missing the cowl rubber seal. All glass is nice with no chips or cracks. Has the original vinyl top that is still quite nice. This is your chance to own an unrestored numbers matching chevelle ss and restore it the way you like. Even unrestored the car has a nice patina. Has some rust in the usual chevelle places. Will not need new fenders or quarters but will require some small patching. I have tried my best to be honest with the description of this car. Don't bid unless you are looking for a 40+ year old car that is unrestored. It won't be perfect. Not many left out there like this one. This is a true barn find in my opinion.
