Vehicle Detail
I am selling this truck due to recent family issues. If you are in the market for this era of Power Stroke (with the 6 liter motor), you have some important research to do before you make your purchase. I'm a geek. I did mine before I bought this one. These trucks have a history of blowing head gaskets, due to a poorly-designed EGR system and oil cooling system. There is a list of work/modification to do to these motors to make them "bullet proof". Given the fact that I don't really care to push the horsepower envelope of my diesel pick-up, I did the choice few things that would prevent head gasket failure under normal operating conditions. I performed this work within the first month of having the truck and have put about 10K miles on the truck since. I haven't pulled anything with it. It was mainly used to haul dirtbikes. The truck is solid. One ding on the tailgate and some miscellaneous fine scratches on the body (normal wear in my opinion). I live just a couple miles north of Evansville Airport (EVV). I'd be glad to pick the buyer up. Cashier's check or cash only please. Please excuse the condition of the back seat. It hasn't been shampoo'd yet. I'm confident it'll clean up fine (love my kids). Work Completed: -EGR Delete -Oil Cooler Replacement -HP Oil Pump Fitting Upgrade -Turbo Drain Upgrade -Turbo Cleaning -Transmission Flush and Filiter(s) by Ford Dealer -Coolant Flush by Ford Dealer After-Market Items Installed: -K&N Air Intake -Edge Evolutioin Programmer I bought the programmer for its "Transmission & Fuel Economy" program. As I said, I had no interest in a hotrod diesel. Diesel fuel and parts are not cheap these days! The programmer is included in the auction. Remaining work to be done: -Vacuum leak in lock-out hubs. This is not a hard fix or even an expensive one. YouTube the procedure. The 4-Wheel Drive does work. You just have to get out of the truck and lock the hubs in manually (the old fashion way).
