Up for sale is a 1985 500SL Euro Spec Mercedes Benz. This car has been properly federalized and has the placard on the car indicating the importer. This car has been dormant in a garage in Oklahoma City for two year. It has rust throughout the body and will need a good amount of welding. This car was originally black, but painted signal red by the previous owner in Florida. The car will likely need a parts car for the body panels and I have an excellent one is available in Michigan, if interested please inquire. This car has had the gas tank removed, welded and sealed by a radiator shop in OKC and has had little recent work done aside from that. It does come with a spare interior with a good dash board in burgundy. The plan was to repaint the car to its original factory black paint and install the burgundy interior. The hard top is missing a side window, which can be purchased for $20-$30. I do not know what the condition of the soft top is, so assume that it will need to be replaced. Unless you are looking for a parts car or a beater SL, this car will need a full body restoration and a through engine look though. The 500sl does have factory heated seats, which is a rare option. Included in the interior is: -complete carpet set -2 seats with good leather (just a little dusty in the pictures) -dash board, under dash trim -convertible top cover -door cards -center consol -wood kit -sun visors I am selling this car from out of state and I do have a good knowledge of the vehicle. However, I cannot tell you about the condition of the motor or trans as it has not driven since it has been in my family. The car is located in Oklahoma City and will need to be picked up from there. It does not run, so please let your transportation service know that.
