Up for sale is a beautiful 1960 Bugeye Sprite. The recent restoration (about 5 years ago) included the following: New paint, rebuilt front end, all new brake components, rebuilt 948cc engine, new clutch, throwout bearing and pressure plate, electronic ignition, new stainless exhaust, instruments rebuilt, all new exterior lighting components, new interior carpet and seat coverings and new windshield. All brightwork is either new or rechromed. Five new chrome wire wheels, tires and tubes. A new top and tonneau cover is included. An original restored jack and unrestored side windows frames are included. There are NO RUST issues on this car. Car also comes with Brooklands racing screens that really add to the enjoyment of this little car.The engine starts easily, has good oil pressure and doesn't smoke. However, as with most British cars, it does mark its territory with a few drops of oil. A six bladed radiator fan was added which drops the water temp at least 10 degrees as compared to the 4 bladed fan. The original fan comes with the car. There are no overheating issues with the engine when driven in 100 degree or lower temperatures. There is a minor issue with the gearbox: if you try and shift fast into second gear, it will grind slightly. However, when you shift normally, it’s fine. Just wanted to be honest and let everyone know. Otherwise, the gearbox and differential are good. I have no idea what the original mileage was before restoration but it's only been driven about 400 miles since. The mileage I have listed is an estimate only.The car has always been covered in the garage and never left outside or driven in the rain. It comes with a blue, fitted car cover. Car will be shipped with windshield installed unless otherwise requested. These little cars are becoming harder and harder to find in this condition. This car is a real head turner and has won many car shows in its class. I hate to part with this car but I want to buy a C5 Corvette and just don’t have the room anymore. The car is currently located in Show Low, AZ and is available for viewing by appointment. Have clear AZ title in hand.
