Ends Monday February 11, 9:00 pm EST Proudly listing a 2006 Smart diesel. This particular Smart is very well equipped with power windows, power locks and keyless entry. Mechanically, car runs flawlessly. While on a gas motor, the mileage may be a bit excessive, not such a major deal on a diesel. This car does not leak oil, smoke, and starts right up on very cold mornings. This car is definitely more then capable of doing a cross country trip. If you are worried about northern cars and the rust to the underbody, these cars have a plastic pan that covers nearly all of the undercarriage keeping the salt and other contaminants out. The first two and last three pics are of the car taken in Florida. The rest were taken 2 months ago in Pennsylvania. There are just a few things that make this car unique and one of only about 50 or so here in the United States. It is powered by a Mercedes engineered turbo diesel that is well known for lasting hundreds of thousands of miles. This euro-spec version has been in production since 1998 and has been proven dependable. Only exported to North America for the 2005 and 2006 models. I can easily achieve 50 to 60 mpg and hits speeds of 75+ comfortably on the freeways. The transmission is a Tiptronic (no clutch manual or sometimes called "slap stick"), and does require shifting but there is no clutch. Also, this particular Smart does have the fully automatic selector button. Unlike the 2nd generation US models, it also has 6 speeds instead of the 5. Having disclosed that the car is a grey market car, please check your DMV to ensure it will title in your state. I have a clear PA title and will pass it on to the buyer. In addition to Pennsylvania, I'm aware of these Smart cdi's in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Colorado, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Kentucky. If you live in a state not listed, please check with your DMV or local title office to find out the procedures for titling gray market cars in your state. Be sure to mention it already has a clear PA title. If you happen to live in a state that does not allow for this car (like California for example), please contact me first before getting too discouraged. I have read online of certain legal ways to get this car possibly through. Also, if financing the car, ensure your lender will finance it without a "blue book" value or NADA.
