Up for sale is a 1966 Ford Mustang convertible that has been restored to duplicate a 1966 Shelby clone. It has been restored two years ago from the previous owner who had a restoration shop. Almost every Shelby option has been duplicated to make this car as close to the real thing as possible. The underneath of the car looks as good as the exterior of the car as you can see by the pictures. There is over 10,000.00 dollars alone invested in the drivetrain not counting how much time alone that was taken to make the body as perfect as it is, then when you factor in the precise fitting of all the related parts and the interior and top are also perfect as the pictures show. the resto total has exceeded 60,000.00 dollars in cost to make this beauty. Motor is a 302 v-8 with 400hp and everything in and on the motor is brand new, The transmission is rebuilt top loader 4 speed, heavy duty driveshaft and u-joints, all the wiring is new throughout the car, all the gauges are new or reconditioned, all new glass, all new interior, reconditioned convertible top frame and looks new. new top and all interior with new padding, brake lines, brakes, fuel lines, fuel tank, rotors, calipers, steering parts, suspension is all new. It also has a 9 inch posi at the rear that has been completely rebuilt. Wheels and tires are brand new along with the dual exhaust system that sounds great. The color combination is beautiful, the green is a 1969 color which was called "black jade" which was really dark green, and the striping is the correct gold from a 66 Shelby with a hint of pearl in it to create the depth in the color that you see. This car runs and drives awesome and it flies, it sounds very mean and is a blast to drive, i would drive this car anywhere. everything about this car is close to PERFECT!!!! This car is no comparison with the majority of cars out there, buy all means this car is far more exceptional of a car than most.
