Vehicle Detail
This Auction is for a 1968 Rover TC 2000 sedan sporting most of its original paint! There are not many of these in the U.S. They were one of the very early Sport Sedans. With such features such as a light weight aluminum hood and trunk and a powerful twin carb all aluminium 124HP engine. If you look on the internet you will find pictures of these in Ralley races. The floor pans are solid and intact and still show the factory stampings. The rockers and lower panels are all metal and in amazing condition for its age. There are pictures of magnets all along the bottom of the car to show its metal.(see pics) The jack ports are clean and solid. The engine is strong and does NOT smoke, knock or hammer. The car is truly survivor, as the only rust on the car is a very small two inch circle in the trunk where a bag of dog food sat. Finding a Rover that does not have rot everywhere, including structual portions of the monocoque is rare. This one is very solid. This one has been stored more than it was driven and has only been stored outside in recent years. The car spent most of its life stored, parked or moved from here to there, hence, it is not rotted into the ground like most of the ones that do turn up. There is a very small dent on the front left fender and leading edge of the hood where it was bumped while parked in storage. While the paint looks shiny, it shows typical signs of age, scratches, fade, cracking and other imperfections. here and there. . Interior is unmolested but seats badly split due to sun damage. The headliner, carpet, dash and steering wheel are very nice. The dash is beautiful with crisp gauges.. Only thing missing from interior that I noticed was the dome light cover but the light works when the doors open. Chrome is fairly decent. Bumpers are specked but not pitted badly. The Stainless is really nice and shiny. This car would make for an easy restoration. Finding one like this for this kind of money that you dont have to put floors in or do thousands of dollars worth of work to just to put back together is almost impossible. If you been looking than you know what I,m talking about. This one starts, runs and is still intact. Heres one you can afford. I try to price things very reasonable as most things I sell are usually sold via (BUY IT NOW) within a short time of being listed. I have perfect feedback on vehicles (please read it) so bid with confidence. Good Luck Bidding!! Please contact me if you have any questions before bidding.. Please see Youtube video under 1968 Rover TC 2000 CHECK OUT THE VIDEO OF IT DRIVING!http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=ZNwLEd2harI&feature=youtu.be Car runs and drives. Brakes work, clutch is fine, shifts smooth, no strange noises. E brake does not hold, which is a common problem with Rovers. Should have new tires put on it, one does leak. This car does not have the Dunlop Brakes on it, which is a HUGE plus as they no longer make parts for those cars. Now for the title, previous owner wrote down the wrong milage on the title. but the mileage reading is exempted due to age anyway, PA will do this anyway due to the car's age. Title is clean. All in all this is an excellent restoration project you could probably drive while you restore. Members may message me for phone number and to arrange viewing. Item is for sale locally. For out of state Buyers, title will be assigned and sent via certified mail once funds are cleared. PA residents must pay 6% state sales tax and are responsible for cost of title transfer. Please do not ask me to lie about purchase price, I will not do it. PLEAS NOTE BIDDER REQUIREMENTS, NO (0) ZERO BIDDERS. Meaning no newly registered or multiples of bad feedback.
