PRIOR OWNER WAS IN ATLANTA, SINCE THEN CAR HAS ONLY BEEN IN ARIZONA, NEVADA, SOUTHERN CA & INTERIOR AREAS OF FLORIDA--THUS NEVER EXPOSED TO SNOW, SALT, BAD WEATHER. MOST OF TIME I HAVE OWNED IT, CAR HAS BEEN GARAGED OR COVERED. *WELL ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION OF THE INTERIOR FOR A METRO CONVERTIBLE! THERE IS NO SUN DAMAGE OR RIPS/TEARS ON DASH!! (almost impossible to find on one of these)NO MISSING BUTTONS OR CONTROLS (also very rare to find)CARPET & SEATS IN WELL ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION FOR A 91 Metro! (No rips/tears on seats, carpet in very good condition)ABOUT THIS METRO CONVERTIBLEThis Metro Convertible was purchased by me for use as an experimental vehicle, for testing of in-motion satellite TV systems on passenger vehicles. This was the primary use, and as a result, this car has seen very little mileage since it's purchase from the former owner. The car has traveled twice from the desert southwest to Florida, and other than that, has mostly been garaged/covered.The car is being offered for sale because I am in the process of relocating fully back to Nevada, and I have a total of 5 cars here in Orlando, including some collectable, so I need to downsize. The car has been equipped with an in-dash LCD monitor/DVD/GPS system, mainly to enable viewing of the satellite TV programming. Thus this Metro has much better in-dash entertainment than usually found in one of these, where often a barely functioning factory radio is common! Also, a custom hitch was installed as a small trailer with a satellite dish was occasionally pulled behind. It is rare to find a Metro with a hitch, this would be useful for taking a small boat or Jetski to the lake, or for a small utility trailer. There is a power inverter located behind the seat which powered the satellite system. A brand new custom fit LeBra car mask will be included, as well as one that has been on the car. They are discontinued/special order, I was able to find 2 on a closeout last year, they will be included with the car.This Metro is the most desirable type--Manual transmission, which provides MUCH better MPG than the AT, also more power when going over hills/mountains. And most of these cars are actually not equipped with A/C, but this one has it. And this car has very low mileage, averaging only around 4,000 miles of useage a year, at 94,909! Very rare for one of these. This car has not been driven in snow/ice or exposed to those elements the entire time I have owned it. The interior of this Metro is well above average...it is the only '91 I have ever seen that does not have any sun damage to the dash! Most will have a "dash mat" to hide the damage, not this one! And they commonly will be missing control buttons, window cranks, etc, this one is not. The paint is original, has faded & imperfections & is definitely in need of repainting--that would be the one main asthetic issue on this car. So even though I have always garaged/covered the car, it does have significant sun fade to the red paint, as well as some imperfections (again, its a '91 car!). It also has marks on the trunk area. So if you want to have the perfect example Geo Metro Convertible in & out, get a paint job! If I were keeping the car, I would be doing this in the spring. The interior is great, so with new paint, this car will be incredible in & out! ~Cruise control is not working...but not something I ever really use in any of my cars, as I'm not a big Cruise Control user. Fix it if you care to.~It's been a while, car could probably use a tune-up, idle is very low. The car has not been used a whole lot lately, this would be worth doing.Also, please note:1)A/C works, but occasionally needs a recharge, there may be a very slow leak in the system. Be advised that A/C is a rare option in these, using it does affect MPG/performance with the 3 cyl motor. Nice to have for the super hot days, otherwise better rarely used.2)There is a small seperation (about 1 1/2 inch) on the convertible top, on the passenger side at the very bottom, near the door/window. I have included a picture showing this. That is the only noticable imperfection on the convertible top. I use a small piece of gaff tape that matches the color of the top to cover it. It has been this way for several years & has not been a big deal or reason to replace the top, which is otherwise in good shape including the rear window. 3)The only thing I do not have for this car is the 3 piece "boot" cover that goes in the rear where the top folds down. I actually found the boot to be very annoying and a hassle, so I sold it last year. But if you absolutely need it, I see a few of them for sale on ebay right now. I'm mentioning this to avoid questions about it. This is the only thing that is not included with the car--but it's easier to buy that boot if you really want it, rather than find an A/C equipped 5 speed with a perfect dash & low miles!! ______________________________________________________If you look nationally, Metro convertibles are becoming harder to find, and when they do get listed for sale, they often are "project cars" with rust, major interior deterioration, and numerous dents & dings, cracked dashboards etc. And a majority listed are automatic transmission, which are much more sluggish on hills, and average much lower MPG. Finding one that has the combination of a great interior, 5 speed, A/C, low miles, extras & not rusted out is uncommon. I often get stopped & asked questions about the car when I take it out! I hate to sell this car because it has serious potential as a collectible, but I just have too many cars to transport to NV, and I am done using it as an experimental vehicle which was why I bought it. However, I would not recommend driving this car through snowy/icy winter weather, it is very lightweight & probably not the kind of car to transport in winter weather conditions!!
