Vehicle Detail

I am putting one of the prize’s of my three wheeler collection up for sale. This is one of the cleanest, nicest, low hour, all original (meaning NOT restored or re-done) 1985 Honda ATC 350 X’s that you will find. It is completely 100% OEM stock, as the bike came from American Honda and the local dealer back in 85. I am the third owner. The previous owner was a collector as well and purchased it from original buyer. I have owned it for a few years. The bike is absolutely immaculate for its age. In addition to the California title that I have, I also have ALL the original dealer paperwork that it came with – warrantee paperwork, bill of sale, owners manual and various other odds and end from the original sale, as well as the tool kit. This is not an Armor All special with new decals, this is a very, very clean and well taken care of 350x. If you are looking to add one of these to your collection and want a winner, then this is your bike, as the likelihood another un-restored one this clean coming along is rare. Specifics and details:• The OEM plastic is about as perfect as can be. There are small scuff marks here and there, but no other issues and no spider cracking or problems to report. The plastic really looks good and still has the OEM shine to it. There are no wear marks on the frame (from boots).• The tires are OEM Honda Ohtsu Pro Vectors. They are not the replacement “PV” tires, and they have about 90% tread life on them, all around. • The rear swingarm / axle is clean enough to eat off of. No surface rust or pitting. It is truly mint. I have left the CA ORV permit on the swingarm, as I think it looks cool and shows the bike's pedigree /history. This can easily be removed though if you dont like it. • All helmet holders, warning decals, cable guides, etc are there.• The stock Air filter disintegrated when I touched it, so I replaced that with NOS genuine Honda item. • Starts, idles and runs perfect. Clean carb, well jetted (for California)• Seat is perfect and very soft, and feels almost brand new. Absolutely no hardening, fading or anything. Seat is MINT.• Even the kill switch is as original and not faded at all! • The gas tank has two very small knicks in the paint from where throttle hit it, or something. See photos, but it is seriously barely noticeable.• There is nothing else to note, condition wise, please look carefully at the photos.• The Rear fenders were replaced back in 1987 with OEM Honda fenders after the pipe slightly melted the stockers. I still have the original fenders and the melt mark is the size of a quarter. The owner was just anal and it shows. Please note: This is the only 1985 350x I have ever seen with the embossed rear warning label in the back of the fenders (which was how all the 86 models came with, but they were white). I also have the original fenders as well, but they are not included for sale with the bike. Feel free to ask me about this if you want more info, but the fenders are stock OEM Honda units. I just realized I dont have good picture of this, but it is rather straightforward, just imagine how the 86 rear fender looks. Frame has no signs of cracking or repair, which was another common issue. This bike is just about as close as you can get to mint without being brand new. I would rate it at a 9 or 9.5 out of 10. It is in rare un-restored condition. Please look closely at the photos, but condition is exceptional. Not much else you can ask for in a bike that is 28+ years old. Check out my other listings. I will be adding stuff over the next few days and selling off a bunch of my ATC's, which include 200x, 250r and 350x models, as well as some TRX250r's and a few misc dirt bikes. But I made a New Years resolution to sell off some of my bikes and thin down the heard, so to speak. The boring stuff (but please read): Shipping: I suggest you use Daily Direct for transport. Their phone number is 888-haulbikes, and they are professionals with a strong track record of moving expensive and nice motorcycles. I can and will ship international, but the buyer must coordinate this, as the process can be cumbersome. I will assist as best as possible and do have really good access to shippers to the UK, Europe and Australia. I can also ship to the middle east as well. Seller Notes: If you are a serious buyer, it is available to be shown, but we are not looking for tire kickers or time wasters. The bike is located in Northern California. Payment: A $1000 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of closing, as is a phone call or clear email on who you are and how you intend to close the deal. I am very easy to work with, but a little clear communication goes a long way. Paypal is fine for deposit. Cash is preferred, but we will take payment however is easiest for you for to send, as we understand that some buyers might be out of the country. Cash, wire transfer, bank check, Paypal, WU, Carrier Pidgin - whatever - but as long as it clears our bank and you are not playing the Nigerian lottery with me. If you are a serious buyer and have the money in hand, I am happy to talk to you on the phone about whatever questions or interest you have in the bike. But please, no time wasters or tire kickers. The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing at any time if a local buyer comes forward. In case you are wondering anything about me as a seller, I have been on eBay since 1998 (thats 14 years) and have not one negative feedback. I am just a nut for older dirt bikes and ATV's from the 1980's. I have a nice collection of bikes that I have built up over 15 years of collecting. I have several others that I am selling, including several 85 - 86 250r's and 350x's, as well as a few TRX 250r quads from 1988 and 1989. These are all bikes from my collection. See my other listings for some more of my stuff, but I doubt I will get around to listing all of them. And not to be annoying, but some kw's to help out the eyeball factor: 1986 ATC 250r 250 r 350x 1985 Hondaline 85 86 Tecate 3 wheeler three
