Vehicle Detail
1967 Fairlane Ranchero, 1067 was the only year of the Fairlane Ranchero, this is a project and will need to be trailered to its new home! This is a orginal California black plate car, I purchased it from a co-worker who's dad bought it when it was (if I remember correctly) 2 years old. It was sitting in a barn so all I have done with it is cleaned it up, removed the engine and transmission due to the oily mess under the hood, at some point my friend and his dad installed a 1967 fairlane GT front clip. The transmission is supposed to be rebuilt its a C4, I totally disassembled the engine and sent the block to the machine shop where I found it has a .40 overbore so the cylinders were honed, the block was boiled and magged with no cracks, new cam bearings and freeze plugs, the crank was magged with no cracks and has a .10-.10 grind (I have the new cam and rod bearings for the grind, during this process I purchased another complete 289 engine already rebuilt with less than 9k miles, which I was just going to install some performance parts and install it. Parts I purchased for this engine are weiand 4bbl. intake, voodoo high lift cam, 1.6 roller rockers, ARP head bolts, timing set, distributor drive shaft, stainless headers, aluminum radiator, gaskets, edelbrock carb (used). As for the body... all the glass is good plus a spare back window there is some rust in the floor boards behind the front seat, the rest of the vehicle is pretty much rust free, theres a few dings here and there but no big dents no rust in the bed, all the trim is there, I will post pictures so you can judge for yourself, I do know its not the orginal paint it was re-painted many many years ago and has some surface rust on the top of the fenders. I have all new power steering componets, hoses cylinders etc. (need to be installed) I cleaned and repainted the engine compartment, currently it has 14 inch aluminum slot wheels with nearly new tires. The interior needs new carpet has the orginal bench seat in pretty good condition dash is cracked but has a cover on it, headliner is good, am radio but at one time a am-fm radio was installed in the glove box. before I detailed the engine compartment I checked all the lights horn wipers etc and everything worked but now I see 2 of the head light bulbs are cloudy. if you have questions about anything please let me know! I have tried to take pictures of everything I've done so ask if theres something you want to see. I have the California black plates and the Pink slip from California! This is a great project but im relocating to another state and cant take it with me. I also bought a set of 1979 bronco low back bucket seats that need to be recovered that I was going to install at some time, also a set of ranchero complete doors all I can say is you will need a truck and a trailer to get this home!On Jan-17-13 at 16:57:11 PST, seller added the following information: A few things forgot to mention, along with painting the engine compartment I also panted the engine brackets and pulleys, the horns, the fan shroud, as far as performance parts I forgot to list the ford 302 cast iron heads ported with larger valves, triple springs and the larger screw in studs, also a new pair of purple hornies header mufflers, the engine that I purchased (with less than 9000 miles) came out of a 1965 or 1966 mustang, it has the cast iron 4bbl manifold roller rockers and pertronics electronic ignition and coil, the heads and intake are removed so I could install the performance goodies. Im sure theres more that im forgetting but this stuff comes to mind! LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT if you have zero feedback you need to contact me! I see its alittle late to post this but its important you contact me! Thanks again for looking and bidding and again if theres anything you want to know or pictures please let me know!
