This bike does run and was being used by the owner every day to get back and forth to work. I actually rode the bike around town when I picked it up. Now for all the little details...I have not even cleaned this bike so, as you can see it needs some prettying up. A little "#0000 steal wool" and that chrome will pop.It needs a paint job... This is not a big deal but if it does not sell as is, I will address any issues it may have, convert it to a cafe racer, paint the bike and sell for much more.It also has a dent on the front fender that you can see in the pic... (Also falls under paint job but I wanted to point it out.)The petcock needs to be replaced. A cheap and simple fix that a beginner can do. Just a couple screws on the bottom of the tank if you're not familiar. (The owner made a 2nd petcock for a shut off valve so the carb will not overflow when not riding. So, you will need to turn it off when you stop.)Needs rear brakes pads.She rides a little ruff (revs high and sputters when given gas) but like I said with the quick and simple fixes it can be a great bike. She's an old girl and she needs some TLC. Any issues here can be taken care of by the beginner, I am no mechanic by far and the only reason I am not keeping it is because I have 2 of my own personal bikes and 5 total in my garage that I am cleaning carbs, painting, and getting road worthy, etc... Take a look at some gs850 cafe racers or stock gs850 bikes on youtube, these are nice and pretty fast bikes. This engine is strong. I also attached a video of me starting the bike and revving it up a little... but e-bay made me delete it. I can send it to you via; e-mail if you like.
