Vehicle Detail
Take a look at this clean 1998 Volvo V70 XC Cross Country Wagon, it is fully loaded with sunroof, leather, All Wheel Drive and what looks like every option that was available at the time. It only has 101k on it and it runs and looks great! The engine sounds good no noises, the transmission shifts smoothly, and the tires are in good shape, it has current PA inspection until 7-2013. There are no check engine lights on, however the ABS/Traction control light comes and goes, I was told it could be a loose wire or a wheel speed sensor that could eventually need replacing. This does not at all affect driving or braking and in PA does not keep it from passing inspection. This vehicle was just traded at a New Car Dealer, I am a Used Car dealer and buy their trades and wholesale them on my lot. This vehicles is being offered wholesale to the public! *This is normally what a used car dealer would pay and its way under retail to allow room in the price for cleaning, repairing and a reasonable profit.* The vehicles that I wholesale are sold exactly as they are traded, I do not take them to a mechanic, I do not clean them and I do not do any repairs, hence them being sold wholesale AS-IS as I would to another Dealer so they can do all of the above if needed and make a profit. You are welcome to have your mechanic visually inspect the vehicle for you BEFORE BIDDING as a courtesy. My business hours are listed below. If your looking to save some money and don't mind cleaning and doing minor repairs then this vehicle may be for you! I drive every vehicle for a day or so before offering them for sale so I can point out anything that is not quite right or may need to be looked at by the next owner. I concern myself with the major items of a vehicle~ the engine and transmission, since they are the most expensive to repair or replace. Most older vehicles that are used daily will have some scratches, dents, dings and minor flaws as would be expected. This vehicle has no major dents, dings or scratches, the paint shines nice but could use a good polishing and wax. There is a small dent on the drivers side rear door that is not very noticeable and should be able to be popped out easily. The leather drivers seat has a small rip in it that you can see in the pics and the passenger power seat motor or switch is not working. So let's go over what I know needs attention, these are all minor issues in my opinion and experience. 1.Passengers Power seat is not working (could be button, motor or fuse)2.ABS/Traction light comes on and off(could be a loose connection, worse case scenario will need a wheel speed sensor replaced.)3.Small dent in drivers side rear door (should easily pop out with suction cup tool) All around it is a very nice car that in my opinion of driving it could effortlessly make a drive to Florida and back! Ok, Auction Time! Please ask all questions before placing a bid, if you want more pics I will be happy to take a specific pic for you. I drove the car for 2 days with no problem and it's a pleasure drive! I am not a mechanic, but it seems mechanically sound, hey it's a VOLVO they are practically bullet proof! I would like this auction to go as smooth as possible, I have perfect feedback because I describe my items as accurately as possible. Just keep in mind I may have overlooked something that you may feel is important and to me was minor. The car is being sold AS-IS no warranty, guarantee expressed or implied, etc. its a used 1998 model vehicle with over 100k and priced well below Retail and may or may not need work. Bid with confidence this is a NO-Reserve auction, it has a clear PA Title and will be sold to the highest bidder! PA residents will be required to pay 7% sales tax, or 8% in Philly and transfer title, which will be done at my location prior to vehicle being released. I can also sell you a metal plate or transfer yours for a reasonable fee. Out of state buyers do not pay sales tax in PA. I do not charge any doc fees or etc, if you need an In-Transit tag you can purchase one for around $60 at the local notary. I don't carry them since I don't sell many vehicles out of state. A $500 non refundable deposit is due immediately at the end of the auction and I will allow 7 days to pick up the vehicle after the auction unless we agree on something else. The vehicle will be available for pickup or viewing in person thursday, friday and saturday 10am-5pm only. Those are my business hours. The balance will be due at time of pick up in cash only within 7 days. Good Luck bidding and again please ask me questions before bidding! Thanks, Rob. On Jan-08-13 at 14:40:56 PST, seller added the following information:*I have had several inquiries regarding timing belt, etc. I am a used car dealer and the vehicle did not include any receipts. If you have interest in placing a bid and want to know the maintenance history performed at the Volvo dealer, please take the vin# number listed and give them a call. I will not be responding to any more questions regarding history/timing belt, etc. The description pretty much sums up what I know about the vehicle. Thanks and good luck bidding!
