Vehicle Detail
I bought this van in 2004 and drove it daily until two years ago when I parked it here with a broken radiator hose fitting. There is also an issue with the electrical connection to the starter. The starter turns over fine with a jumper wire, I believe it needs a new plug. I started it again on Thanksgiving day 2011, and shut it right off due to the radiator hose. The battery has gone bad since. The engine turns over fine on jumper cables but doesn't want to catch. Maybe the two year old gas? The exhaust has been patched up a couple of times and will eventually need replaced. There has never been any problems with the transmission. The brake pedal and clutch pedal both feel fine. I don't know what kind of shape the brake linings are in but nothing was scraping when I parked it. The tires are thin but not dangerous looking. The seats are pretty good for old, no rips or tears. There is a small one inch rip in the headliner near the back that isn't very noticable and a cut on the inside sliding door panel about the same size. The carpet is pretty dirty and part of the plastic housing around the steering column has come off (it was like this when I bought it). There is a modern pioneer stereo with cd. The front speakers have been replaced, the rear speakers don't work. There is a subwoofer under the middle seat. The front heater blower is intermittent, seems to be the motor itself, the rear heater blower works fine. There is surface rust, mostly at the edges of the panels. I don't think there are any holes all the way through yet. There is a small ding above the right rear window where a tree branch fell against it in a storm, and there is a shallow dent in the sliding door. The rear bumper has been removed and replaced with a reciever hitch. This has been handy for my bicycle rack, and I've towed trailers with it on occasion. I do not have the original bumper. I have every reason to believe that if some one fixed the radiator hose and cleaned things out it would run, however I don't know it for a fact and it has been sitting for two years so I can't guarantee anything, sold as is. Towbar and towing lights are included, easy to pull home. I used to tow it behind my camper. Clear title. My goal is to move it out of the way, so if it sells for the opening bid that's fine, no reserve. I would expect the buyer to pick it up in some reasonable amount of time, I'm flexible. Payment on pickup is fine. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
