Vehicle Detail
1979 International Scout II (Modified) I have owned this Scout for 8-years. It has been set up for off-roading in rocky terrain. It has frequently visited Rauch Creek and Paragon (while open) in central Pennsylvania. It is not trailered and is driven to the trails. It handles “Black” rated trails well. The truck has a rare Terra fiberglass top and bulkhead installed giving you the short-bed pickup look. It is currently registered in Maryland with “historic tags”. Numerous aftermarket parts all identified below. Equipment: 1. Original 345 V-8, Spreadbore 4-barrel intake (Rochester Carb) with DUI distributor and auxiliary oil cooling unit 2. New conventional battery 3. Aluminum radiator with a thermostatically controlled 19-inch electric fan from a Ford F-150 Lightning truck 4. Vanco Hydroboost brakes running with a PSC Ram Assist steering system (High Pressure/Output pump, reservoir, cooler, and axle mounted ram cylinder) 5. Chrysler 727 Automatic Transmission with extra capacity deep pan (rebuilt approximately 7 years ago) and separately mounted high capacity cooling unit 6. Dana 300 Transfer Case (Tera-Flex 4:1 gear set, HD 32-spline rear output shaft, Twin-stick shifters) 7. High-Angle CV Rear drive-shaft 8. Scout Dana 44 Front Axle, 4.88:1 gears, 5 x 5.5 stud pattern axles (Disc brakes, Internal splined Jeep hubs, Detroit Locker, RCV 30-spline inner/outer CV Shafts with RCV slugs, Reid Racing Outer Knuckles, Parts Mike High-Steer crossover Setup, ARB Reinforced cover) riding on a set of 4-inch lift Triangle lift springs in a spring-over setup 9. Scout Dana 44 Rear Axle, 4.88:1 gears, 5 x 5.5 stud pattern axles (Drum brakes, Dutchman 35-spline axle shafts with a Superior spool, ARB reinforced cover) riding on a set of 4-inch lift Triangle lift springs in a spring-over setup with an anti-wrap bar 10. Pit Bull 37 x 12.5 x 15 inch Rocker radial tires mounted on Allied Beadlocks (32 bolt) plus the spare in the same setup (approximately 4K miles and 4 off-roading trips) 11. Front D+C rock bumper with stinger, and a Warn 9500# winch with synthetic line (separate HD bag of recovery gear is included) 12. Rear D+C rock bumper with tire carrier, 48 inch High-Lift jack mounted to carrier 13. Skid Plates: oil pan, transmission/transfer case, rear differential/yoke (Nth Degree) and fuel tank 14. Interior: Corbeau Baja II driver’s seat, aftermarket bucket seat on passenger side, Tuffy locking center console (tan), D+C 4-point roll-cage (rear hoop points are attached through the floor to a frame-mounted plate) 15. Exterior: Body painted with Durabak (tan color, rough texture, UV protected), wheel wells modified for larger tires, Super Scout front grill, hood vents, Super Scout stainless steel windshield frame mirror set 16. There is a large lockable tool and parts chest that sits in the rear bed that is included as well. Condition of truck: 1. It is an older truck and has minor engine oil and transmission leaks 2. Rust has been cut-out from several body panels and fixed, some rust damage still exists on underside of body, around rear wheel wells and on a few spots in the bed 3. The Scout runs well and starts easily unless it’s been sitting idle for weeks then it needs a little cranking to get gas back up to the carb. 4. Tracks straight down the highway and feels comfortable driving at the legally posted speed limits 5. The body has dents from off-roading 6. All the headlights, fog lights, brake lights and marker lights work. The turn signals do not work. 7. No A/C just fans In addition to the vehicle, I have a numerous spare parts for the truck that will be included. I don’t have a complete list of these parts. Most are IHC parts not aftermarket parts. A set of remanufactured cylinder heads and an Advance Adaptors kit for swapping in a small-block Chevy engine are some of the items included. Changes to personal circumstances have led to the decision to sell this vehicle. As stated earlier, you can drive this Scout home or have it shipped. A $500 deposit is due within 24-hours after the auction closes. The balance will be due within 7-days. I will work with you on the details of picking up the truck and the spare parts. On Jan-07-13 at 05:15:02 PST, seller added the following information: I've added the following information related to shipping the Scout: Width is 7 feet at widest point Height of the cab is 6 foot 9 inches (you could air-down the tires and decrease the height by several inches)
