Vehicle Detail

All Aluminum Step Van For Sale Purchased from a linen service fleet in 1971. Same owner ever since. It had a blown 6 cyl engine & manual trans. Dropped in a 69 Cady 472 & automatic. Kept the rear end but lowered the gear ratio to about 4.90 to 1. Installed the glass side windows, seating out of a Continental Trailways bus and some 110v lighting & outlets for camping. Had a blast! This truck rocked! Beat everything I ever ran in street races ( except one), even a brand new 73 Charger with a 440 6pack! Parked it in my barn in Oct 1987 and never moved again. Had other cars, new kids, new priorities. Always thought "some day". Well sold the barn, its gotta go. Pictures shown are a month old, the day I pulled it outside. I have a clear title. Have the orignal grille center piece with all the letters that say METRO that is missing in the pix. Have the IHC badge that goes on the radiator access door. Have the original instrument cluster. Currently has full Stewart Warner gauges. Hurst dual gate shifter, Mallory electronic ign, Holley double pumper carb. Van needs total redo. Mileage unknown. Does NOT run. Rolls fine, nothing locked up. Engine turns over, not seized. Must pickup. On Jan-12-13 at 09:06:58 PST, seller added the following information: A number of guys have asked about diminsions for towing / shipping: Overall hieght 99", width 78", Length 19'8" including bumpers. Rear bumper is 20" deep and 84" wide. Interior is 72 1/2" tall, 6' wide, 172" from windsheild to rear doors. wheelbase dim 12'6" from the outside edge of the tires. Track is 6' wide. Couldn't find a plate showing wieght, etc. I think its a one ton chassis.
