Late production 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280sel 4.5. Last year of w108 series, and one of the last w108's to be built. 123k miles which appear to be original. RARE color, Beige gray (code 181). California car since new. Factory Sunroof and A/C. This car has been in storage since 1990, being started periodically. The car will need to be fully serviced to be roadworthy again. Brakes will need to be bled, fluids changed, etc. We have had the car running, but it will need the fuel pump replaced. I have one which will be included with the sale. All the mechanical components on this car are original and intact. Being sold "as-is" as a non-op vehicle. Exterior is the original color and mostly original paint, but a few sections have been resprayed at some point in it's life and are now wearing thin (hood, front fenders, rear pass door). No rust issues other than some surface scaling. Very rare dealer installed "bumperettes" for the 1973 model year regulations. Original windshield with MB sticker. Interior is in fair condition. MB tex palomino seats appear to be from another vehicle, and are in good condition, showing little wear. Black door panels are in good condition. Original carpet and headliner is intact, but should be replaced. Dashpad has cracks. All dash wood is intact, and will need to be re-finished. Sunroof opens and closes properly. Non original 1980's era radio (no additional speaker holes cut in interior). Rare car, only 6,302 made in 1972-73. This is a great, solid car for restoration. Clear CA title and blue plates.
