Vehicle Detail
This 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor started life with the Naperville, IL police department. I have service records from it's service, and since I bought the car. I picked it up to drive while I worked on my daily driver. This car is a lot of fun, but I just don't have room for it in my garage. Since I bought it, I've brought it back to decent daily driver status. Since April, I've put new tires and a new a/c receiver/drier and recharged the system. I painted the wheels, and from 10 feet away the car looks really good. Closer than that, and you can see scratches and dings from it's life as a police cruiser. It was also rear-ended at some point in it's life, and the rear bumper is cracked due to that. It's the only real visible exterior flaw. Inside, the front seats have wear like you'd expect from a 131,000 mile car that saw a lot of seat time. The rear seat was actually removed for service, and then replaced when it returned to civilian duty. So it's actually pretty nice. Trunk is cavernous as you'd expect, complete with full size spare. A couple small spots of surface rust underneath, but obviously nothing that kept me from buying it. Car is solid. The only issue that I've had is that there is a vibration at idle when the car warms up. I haven't been able to chase it down. The car drives and shifts fine, and is decently quick considering the size. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country tomorrow. Thanks for reading and happy bidding!
