MINT CONDITION 1985 MERCEDES 380SL CONVERTIBLE NO RESERVE AUCTION. Super nice Mercede Benz convertible.This is the last year for the 380 SL model and definitely the best.1985 had an added benefit to the other 380 models with the factory dual timing chain that became standard for its year.It was a very important change because it made the engine much stronger and durable for less chances for breakdown.It does have the 3.8 litre v-8 engine that still has alot of power but better on gas mileage.The car runs and drives exceptionally well.The dual timing chain was replaced around 100k miles.Alot of maintenace was done to the car including new radiator,brakes,full tune-up,fuel injectors,and cataytic converters.No overheating or leaks.Perfectly safe to drive anywhere without a problem. This is also the late 1985 model that came with the optional ABS brake system and optional 15"chrome wheels that later bacame standard on the next generation 560 model.Chrome on the wheels are very nice with no chrome peeling.Of course,the car comes with all the power options Mercedes offered and operate fine.Both tops are with the car.Hardtop has nice headliner and good glass.Softtop is rip free with clear rear windows. Paint and body are pretty close to perfect.No dings or wears spots.The color is called Nautical Blue,which is a dark metallic blue color.No rust on the car.Garaged and super clean.Never in any accidents.Car was bought brand new in Westlake,California and never left the state.Ready to take to shows. Interior is blue in color and in mint original condition.Perfect seats.Super clean,odor free,and no sun damage/wear.All electricals operate correctly. This car is in superior shape and way above your average SL on the market.It has 132K pampered miles and looks like a car with half that.This car was meticulouly cared for and it shows.A great driving Mercedes that is truly in mint shape with a unbelievable standout color.I have all books,records,and manuals for the car.
