What we have done to the bike:Relined the tank. The gasoline had solidified in the tank. It was flushed out and relined with alcohol resistant liner. Some of the original pinstriping was scuffed in the process, but my painter touched up the stripes where they needed attention. The stripes are still almost completely original and still mostly untouched.New AGM battery It has new style fuel taps. The originals go with the bike and you can rebuild them if you like.Has new Emgo mufflers made for BMW and look and sound correct for /5.Tires are from 2005Carbs were completely rebuilt with many new parts.Motor is very quiet. No cam chain noise, rocker noise or clutch noise. Seat is original and very pliable and soft!The plating is in great shape! The clear coat on the the handle bar risers and fork caps is also in great shape!Spline lube Things that are missing or aren't original:Tires are newermissing gas cap keymissing tool kit, but does have the original owners manual with stamps for required services in Europe.fork boots have 11 ribs instead of 13. At some point they were replaced, probably during a fork seal service or perhaps they were cracked from age.Bad points: only one, at some point in its life, the battery had leaked some acid. Some of the paint on the battery box and surrounding area was affected. I touched up quite a bit of it and its not noticeable, but I feel it should be disclosed anyway.
