Vehicle Detail
Hello, I have a 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS for auction. This is the last year for the rear wheel drive. There were 16,204 made the final production year and this one has t-tops. I bought this vehicle in 1996 with 49,300 miles. It now has 76,282. The vehicle has the original 305 H.O. V8. This vehicle does have an "R" title. I bought it that way in 1996. I have rarely driven this vehicle in the last 10 years and see no reason to keep it any longer. The vehicle is inspected until 1/13, but the registration runs out at the end of December. This vehicles runs and drives. The carburetor was rebuilt during last inspection which was 10 miles ago. A new battery was installed in August. The vehicle has a K&N air filter and glass packs. The exhaust system was replaced from behind the catalytic converter back about 15,000 miles ago. The interior is red with 60/40 split bench seats. The shifter is on the steering column. I do have the stock rims, but the centers are missing. Two are mounted on winter tires. According to nadaguides.com/classic-cars, low retail on this vehicle is $3,596 with a clean title. The tires hold air but are dry rotted to the point where it is no longer safe to drive more than a few miles. A flatbed or trailer will be needed to pick up this vehicle. The dashboard has cracks in it. The back seat is no longer attached, but it doesn't move around. The car does need body work and repainted. The power windows do work, but are slow. The vehicle is showing low voltage when started. The air conditioning unit is there, but the belt was never put on. It's safe to say that the air conditioning unit does not work. Car is being sold as-is. This car basically needs restored and would make a nice winter project car. Buyer is responsibly for the pick up of this vehicle and the cost to do so. I am accepting personal checks only. Payment is expected within a week of the end of the auction. I will let you know when the check arrives. When the check clears, I will let you know and plans for the pickup of the vehicle can be made. I live about 25 miles South of Pittsburgh, PA. If you have any questions feel free to call or text me, 724-797-2163. I work a weird schedule so I might not get back to you until the following day. Please state you are responding to the add on E-Bay. Thanks for looking and good luck, Marty
