I THOUGHT THE VOLVO 240 DRIVES LIKE A TANK- THIS DRIVES LIKE A FORTRESS! IT REALLY DRIVES QUITE WELL.THE FIRST TIME I PUT IT ON THE ROAD I WAS DOING 55 MPH ON A 35 AND DIDNT FEEL A THING. NO SHAKES, SHIMMIES ETC... WHAT A NICE RIDING TRUCK, THOUGH I WOULD BE TELLING A LIE IF I SAID IT HAS GREAT MPG- BUT THATS WHAT TO EXPECT WITH A 4.0 LITER 8 CYLINDER ENGINE. FOR THAT SIZE ENGINE ACTUALLY IT HAS REALLY GOOD ACCELERATION. STEERING FEELS TIGHT AND SUSPENSION FEELS EXCELLENT. HEAT IS REALLY HOT. I THINK THE A/C WORKS BUT I CANT TELL WHEN ITS 40F OUTSIDE. RADIO WORKS WELL. SPEAKERS SOUND GOOD. HEAD,TURN AND TAIL LIGHTS WORK ABS & SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS ON THE DASH BODY: TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES, I THINK THE BODY IS COVERED PRETTY WELL, SEE FOR YOURSELF. EXHAUST IS FINE. GLASS IS FINE, NO NOTICEABLE CRACKS OR CHIPS. FLUIDS ALL LOOK GOOD. BELTS LOOK OK. NO SMELL OF OIL ETC.... NO APPARENT VALVE COVER GASKET LEAKS ETC.... NOW THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR: 1. FRONT POWER SEATS SOMETIMES WORK. 2. SUNROOF DOES NOT APPEAR TO WORK 3. REAR DOOR DOES NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE 4. REAR WINDOWS DO NOT SEEM TO WORK (MAYBE IM AN IDIOT AND ITS A BUTTON?) FRONT WINDOWS SEEM TO BE FINE 5. FRONT BRAKES SQUEAL. RIGHT FRONT BRAKE ROTOR SCORED. 6. HEADLINER SAGGING IN PLACES. IN SUMMARY: REALLY NICE TRUCK, I LIKE THE COLOR AND THE INTERIOR IS VERY NICE FOR A 13 YEAR OLD TRUCK. DOES NOT SMELL OF SMOKE ETC....IT NEEDS SOME WORK THAT IF YOU ARE ANDY, YOU CAN FIX YOURSELF IN A DAY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT ROVERS OF THIS VINTAGE YOU KNOW THEY ALL NEED SOMETHING. ALL USED CARS FOR THAT MATTER NEED SOMETHING. WHAT YOU SEE HERE IS A *VERY* LOW MILEAGE WELL RUNNING TRUCK WITH A GOOD ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, NICE BODY.
