Vehicle Detail
1928 CHEVROLET IMPERIAL LANDAU SEDAN NATIONAL SERIES AB This car was restored approximately 15 years ago. Six years ago it had a complete new Hampton Coach interior including seats, door panels, headliner and rear carpet. It has a rubber floor mat in front with correct Chevrolet Bowtie pattern. Paint still looks good but has a few scratches. It is starting to rust in the typical place where the front cowl meets the splash apron and is showing in some of the lower doors. (see photos). It has an electric fuel pump, however the original vacuum tank is there but it is bypassed A mechanical temperature gauge has been added (see photos) to better monitor the operating temp. Tires are very good with deep tread and no sign of aging. Turning lights added for safety as single tail light is not very visible for night driving and stopping. A exhaust cutout has been added with a dash board control. Starts easily and runs very nice. Does not smoke or burn oil. This car has been on VCCA Tours. It has some rough teeth on the flywheel ring gear but a NOS one was purchased from Gary Wallace for $175 but has not been installed. I also have a set of headlight reflectors which have recently been resilvered (not chrome) which will be included. I have not installed them. An extra NOS muffler/exhaust pipe will be included. Recent work performed: Water pump rebuilt with modern packing and bearing and new shaft with new impeller Points, condenser, rotor, spark wires and plugs, coil Carb rebuild kit 6 Volt battery is 3 years old so probably will need replacing soon. Still works good. Includes: Owners Manual 80 pages, and Repair Manual 266 pages, both Reprints Selling as I am 82years old and am reducing my collection. I have owned for 5 years. 1928 WAS THE LAST YEAR FOR THE 171 C.I.
