Vehicle Detail
1967 Plymouth Sport Fury 383 1967 Sport Fury 383 2bbl, floor shift 727 auto transmission with console and A/C. It runs and drives under its own power, but is a project. The car comes with a replacement roof skin to repair the original one, which has fiberglass filling some rust holes. The body appears to be original paint and is generally straight. It's a good project, which I started, but never got off the ground. Now there are too many projects and this one must go. When I began working on the car, I had the engine and lower body steam cleaned and re-cored the radiator with a new 26" 3-row core. I have numerous parts available for this car which can be negotiated separately from this sale, including front disc brakes, a suspension rebuild kit, sway bars, tail lights (the current ones are all damaged to some extent), additional rear bumper, Daisy mags with new tires, etc. This sale is the car and the replacement roof only, and while the pictures show 15" wheels, the car is now on 14" steel wheels, as it would have had installed when new. The 15" wheels and tires are not part of this sale. The car requires some rust repair, in addition to the roof swap. I purchased aftermarket trunk extensions recently, which are included in the sale. The car needs to be trailered from this location, as it is not in safe condition to drive any distance. It can be driven onto a trailer. It has license plates and a salvaged title in my name. After being registered for a couple of years, it was placed on planned non-operation with the state of California. I purchased this car after it had been sold to a wrecking yard, in 2000. Due to my travel requirements, the vehicle must be picked up by January 3rd or after January 14th, if arrangements are made. The reserve is LOW (less than $1000). Honestly, if you have taleent and desire, this is a great car to start with. You are going to be hard-pressed to find one at a low price with original paint, so you know that no big impacts have been hidden. It's a project from someone that is willing to take the journey into every aspect of putting a car back together. It's not a HemiCuda, we all know that, and it'll never be worth big money, but that's not the point. It's a pretty cool looking car and it has the roominess needed for a grand cruiser. Factory Air Conditioning is just icing on the cake.
