2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 Diesel Up for sale is a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie SLT. It has a Cummins diesel engine and automatic transmission with four wheel drive. The truck does have the factory tow package so it has lower gearing and beefed up suspension. This is a clean and rust-free Southern truck. It is a former farm truck that we purchased from an insurance auction in 2010 after the previous owner stuck it in the mud. Subsequently, it now has a Georgia rebuilt title (not a salvage title, as it has already been through and passed inspection). After purchasing, an overhaul on the truck was completed. The truck was repainted with new bumpers, lights and grille and a spray-in Rhino Liner bedliner was added. Mechanically, there are a lot of new parts as well. We have put less than 15,ooo miles on the truck since purchased, so all parts/repairs are less than two years/15,000 miles old. - Transmission rebuilt, with new torque converter and solenoids. - New steering box and power steering pump. - New brake hydroboost. - New track bar, tie rod ends, steering stabilizer and shocks. - New A/C compressor, evaporator and condenser. - New heater core and blower motor. - New lift pump. - New injector pump (upgraded from stock model). - New starter. - New hub assemblies on front end. - Tires replaced about 5,000 miles ago. There are many other smaller things that have been replaced as well. In addition to the new parts the truck is regularly serviced with full synthetic fluids. The differentials were both serviced less than six months ago. The instrument cluster has been replaced as the speedometer did not work and half the odometer was not illuminating. The title shows 90,530 miles but I cannot attest to the accuracy of the mileage on the truck since part of the odometer was not working when purchased. The new cluster shows just over 207,000 miles. I can comfortably say that the mileage is somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000. As nice as the truck is, I would guess it is closer to the 150,000 mile mark. With the exception of tears on the outside edges of the front seat, the interior is in good shape. The dash was replaced and has no cracks in it. The bezel has one small crack on the top. The truck has power windows and locks and the heat and A/C both work well. There is an oil leak due to it needing the gasket replaced on the side cover of the motor, behind the injection pump. Other than that, the truck runs and drives well. This is a very strong truck that has a lot of life left in it. The underside of the vehicle speaks volumes to how nice this truck is compared to all the Northern trucks for sale on eBay.
