Vehicle Detail
1966 Chevelle SS (clone) Pro Touring project. I purchased this un-finished project from the owner who recently lost storage and had to move. I bolted the left fender, hood, bumpers on the vehicle so you could what you are bidding on. I did not spend any time aligning the sheet metal. There is a ton of money stuck into this car. There is over $5000 invested in just the AC/Heater assembly, wheels, gauges and headers alone! The 5.7L LS1 motor and transmission have 20,000 miles on them. The transmission is a 4L60E and it was beefed up with aftermarket heavy duty parts before installation. A B&M shifter has been added. The engine has had hardened main bolts and bearings installed. A Corvette style alternator with bracket was installed. Brand new high end headers were installed. The exhaust has been welded with dual pipes exiting the rear. The engine and transmission are read to install fluids. I was told that the motor does crank over from the key in the dash. All AC lines are installed and the unit is ready to be recharged. A brand new "Classic Auto Air" A/C heating unit has been installed. I was told the 10 bolt rear axle has 4:11 gears installed. Body: The SS hood is brand new. The left front fender has a lower patch installed and needs to be finished. Both rear quarters have had lower patch panels installed and the body work will need to be finished off. The underside trunk drop off panels looks excellent and they appear to be new. The rest of the body will need final finishing prior to paint. The trunk floor has been replaced and will need finishing around the seams if you are picky. I am not sure if the floors have been patched but the underside is very clean. The frame appears to be in excellent condition overall with no rust scale. There are new upper and lower rear axle trailing arms. They are high end aftermarket parts. The uppers appear to be adjustable. The fuel tank appears to be in excellent condition. I was told it is ready for fuel to be added. Interior: The front power seats are from a 2000 Trans Am. The rear seat is very nice and appears to be the original from 1966. Aftermarket Auto Meter gauges have been installed and wired. The new heating controls have been wired. The dash looks very nice overall. New front and rear speakers have been installed. Rear package tray has been finished. Dynamat floor and Dynaliner ceiling insulation has been installed. I have the headliner for the vehicle. A brand new wiring harness (dash, interior and engine compartment) has been installed. Some final wiring may be needed but I am not sure. I have the wiring diagrams that will go with the car. Exterior: All glass is installed and intact. The windshield and rear glass look nice overall. The bumpers are in driver condition. I do have some of the trim and a bunch of other parts that will go with the car (not pictured). The tires and wheels are brand new. The rims are 20” made by Boss. If the car was lowered, the stance would look incredible. Keep in mind that I did not build this car so I do not have every detail. I have too many projects myself so I do not have time to finish this one. This vehicle is being sold as is with no warranty.
