Vehicle Detail

This is a no reserve listing. This is my 1958 Edsel Pacer with 37,594 original miles. This is a clean, beautiful, great-driving classic car that is in excellent original condition. My Edsel has the following equipment and options-361cid E400 V8 engineautomatic transmission with Tele-Touch steering wheel shift buttonspower steering"Dial Temp" climate controloriginal AM radio This Edsel turns heads everywhere you go. You cannot stop at a light, or at a gas station, without someone coming up to ask about the car. These cars were not produced in very large numbers, and there aren't many of these left in this sort of condition. This is a rare, collectible and historically significant vehicle that will only continue to appreciate in value. 1958 Edsels are particularly valued because they were the most unique from other Ford products, they had the most available options, and they had the unique "horsecollar" grille. This is a complete, clean, nice and dependable car- this is a great driver, not a concours trailer queen. This car is fun-to-drive and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Everything about this car was styled and designed purposefully- 50 years later the "failure" that was the Edsel has become a beautiful, unique and valuable classic car. The paint, body and exterior look very nice. The paint is shiny, glossy and looks very nice. There are no noted dings or dents, and the body is solid, straight and looks good everywhere. The stainless trim looks great. The underside is solid and clean. This car looks superb for an unrestored car- it looks great. The interior is original, and is in very good condition. The seats, upholstery, carpets and interior trim all look nice. The "Edsel" carpeting is nearly perfect. The dash was originally padded, but has been painted instead, and it looks good. The interior is clean, presentable and in very nice shape for the age. This Edsel starts, runs and drives well. The engine runs well, it is powerful and runs great. The engine doesn't smoke or hesistate and it is responsive and makes good power. The power steering works great, as do the brakes and suspension. The car tracks straight and drives well. The Tele-Touch automatic transmission shifts great and the controls for P R N D, etc work perfectly. This car is mechanically solid and doesn't need any work to my knowledge. The odometer works, the fuel guage works, the lights and signals work, all the windows work, the Dial-Temp climate controls work, etc. This car is reliable and dependable. I feel comfortable in saying that you could drive this car anywhere without worries. It is ready for weekend crusing, going for dinner or ice cream, parades, cruise-ins, car club meets, or whatever you would like to do with a classic car. This is a no-worries, ready-to-go car. I don't mean to suggest that the car is in perfect condition, of course it is 53 years old, but it is clean, solid, reliable old car. This is an antique car and as such it isn't perfect; it has normal wear and tear and issues consistent with its age, and this is an original car, not a restored concours example. Here is a list of anything and everything I know of that is wrong with the car: There are various small scratches and exterior/paint nicks, flaws, etc. The chrome is somewhat pitted/worn (though the stainless is excellent). The car isn't absolutely rust-free, you can find tiny spots in little crevices and from stone nicks, etc. The body is solid and clean, though it has had minor previous professional rust repair using metal and body filler. Inside the door jambs and in cracks and crevices isn't as pretty as the exterior of the car. The cloth seat upholstery and headliner are original and are somewhat worn and stained, including some rips on the top edges of both seatbacks. The radio doesn't appear to turn on. The horn doesn't work. The Tele-Touch transmission controls work great with the exception that the car will sometimes roll when in Park, but not always, if you shift to N first, it tends to hold in Park. You can easily keep the car stationary by using the parking brake which works well. The rolling dome speedometer does not work. Overall this is a solid, clean, dependable car in great shape for the age. For shipping the car, call Angels Moving Autos at (530) 245 0481. I am located in Willoughby, OH just east of Cleveland, OH. The closest major airport is Cleveland (CLE). This car is of course 53 years old, so there can be no guarantees, but I see no reason why this car could not make a long drive wherever you wanted to go.
