Vehicle Detail
I am the second, non smoker who has owned this. at around 78k, the transmission was replaced under warranty. Shortly after, the front diff, and transfer case were also replaced. This is a solid running vehicle that I drive to and from work daily, and the repairs that this would need are minimal, and do not affect the way this rides. I will start with the outside, and let you know everything to my knowledge that is wrong, or anything that has been updated. The front grille has been painted black, and the mounting brackets behind the headlights were replaced. There was front damage before I bought this, and the bumper has a small crack on the side, which is hard to see. there is a small amount of rust just starting in the driver side front wheel well. that is the only rust on the body of this vehicle that I have seen, and I wash it every week by hand. There is a scuff on the hood,(pic 11) and I have no idea how it happened, but it is there, and can be seen in the right light. I took off the real long antenna, and replaced it with a short one. You will need new tires within the next 6 months, but they are still pretty good. The interior had been kept very clean, as I have been pretty much the only person in it. The driver seat has a small tear on the side, which I am told is normal, but it is still an eyesore, other than that, there are no real issues with the interior. all 4 seats heat up fine, dvd player works fine (but no remote for it), the wireless headphones are like new, and there are no cracks on the dash anywhere. The only other issue is on the steering wheel the lights are out on 2 of the stereo control buttons. Now for the mechanical issues. As I stated, the transfer case, front diff, and transmission were replaced, and it runs the way I expect it to now. I was extremely picky, and brought it back 3 times for the diff, and one time they said it was the transfer case, but it was not. So, I got a new transfer case out of the whole mess. I recently had to buy a new HVAC door blend actuator for the front. The temp on the rear view mirror says "OC", which is the temp sensor, and was never a big deal, so I did not fix that. The "service ride control" warning comes on now, and I also looked that up because everything seemed to be fine, but apparently, it is the air compressor that adjusts the ride height on the back for hauling/towing. The TCS sensor may also be bad, because by default, the traction control is always active, and kicks in randomly while driving. I have been driving with the TCS off, and have had no problems at all. As you can probably tell, most of these issues are minor, and I am sure that anyone would be more than happy with the overall condition of this vehicle. Also, I have an autopage 2 way remote start with an LCD screen which has worked great ever since I had it put in. I have the original box and instructions with it. I also have the original owners manual for the truck itself. Please ask any questions if you have any. I am in this every day, so I probably overlooked a ton of positive points about this vehicle, but I would rather get out all the known flaws first. On Dec-05-12 at 16:25:14 PST, seller added the following information:I wanted to note that the ABS light has come on a few times due to the TCS issue. It came on for a second, and then went off again. I will do my best to get this fixed, and it is most likely just a sensor. Also, I noticed the main pic has my old vertical grille on it, which is an error on my part. The correct grille is the close up with the GMC logo. You will additionally get a pair of black halo headlights with LED's in them, a pair of black corner lenses, and a pair of dark tinted LED tail lights.
