Vehicle Detail

Up for quick auction a rare Spanish 1974 Montesa Cota 123T - 6 speed! This motorcycle came from a storage container in Ohio. Upon removing it from storage, I checked it for three things...will it turned over, will it shift and does it have spark. Surprisingly, it passed all three test. The serial numbers match on both the frame and engine. (28M1364) The front fender is aluminum and the rear fender is plastic. The bike has a unique speedometer on the front fork...(See photos and note: the speedometer cable is twisted and may or maynot work). The tires have dry rot cracks in them and are flat but I am betting that they are still useable, great tread. The front fork tubes are very nice and have very little pitting, the right side seal has leaked but the tubes are great. Some images of this bike on the net show it with a headlight, however this bike does not have one. The rear shocks seem to have been replaced at one time with neat Spainish Betor Remote Reservoir Units. (See photos...upgrade or stock???) All bolts and nuts on the axle and swingarm look to be in good shape and not cross threaded or beat up. The bike looks like it would clean up and be a fun resotation project for the right person. I've researched them on the internet and there are parts available, even a brand new seat but no complete bikes! This bike is complete and could be brought back to life within short order...you have all winter don't you? lol
