Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a running clear Ohio titled vintage 1976 CB750 Four. I am a vintage Honda collector who is in the process of moving and dont have the space I once did. I purchased this CB750 with means to completely restore it. It is a great everyday bike right now or perfect for a restore or cafe bike. This CB seems to be mostly original, besides for the 4 into 1 exhaust. This was an OHIO barn find that sat for the last 15 years. The original owner last rode the bike from Florida before parking it. I installed new plugs, points, condensers, new gas, cleaned the carbs, adjusted the timing, and installed a new battery, and on the second kick......fired right up! The bike is not perfect but it is 37 years old. The chrome is pretty nice and still shines. The wheels are shiny, the spokes could use a good cleaning or replaced and the tires hold air and have good tread. I have ridden them around and had no problems, but couldn t tell you how old or safe they are(they dont appear to be dry rotted) but thats your call if you want to replace. The seat is torn on the seam, but i purchased a new Honda seat cover that I never got around to installing but I will include it in with the purchase of the bike(brand new Honda cover). The electrical seems to be sound with no issues. The lights all work, but i believe it needs a new flasher relay(turn signals work but dont flash). The engine runs but could use fine tuned. Carbs synced ect leaks oil on the sprocket side(case not cracked) prob a gasket. The original paint on the tank is sun faded on the top but might be able to be buffed out. The sides and emblems are in good condition. The side covers look excellent but the electric side cover is missing the lower tab. It stays attached to the bike no problem. I am trying to be as accurate and detailed with as much info as I can and know of. The frame is not repaired or wrecked and the bike has 40900 miles. (owner had a home in Florida and he drove the bike back and fourth). The vin is CB750-2573700 and the engine number is CB750E-2463224. I have taken a few pics, but if you would like more PLEASE ASK. I will ship for free to the end of my driveway, but you must make all trucking arrangements. I will also store the bike free of charge for a reasonable amount of time.(latest feb). I will assist any way I can to help with shipping or arrangements. My zip code is 44146 and I have shipped bikes before to California for an estimated $550.00 per bike to just give you an idea. Please ask before bidding if you have questions. The tank is almost dent free except for a dime size dent in the lower right corner(near seat). This would be a great early Cmas present or just a daily driver for anyone. Low reserve.......HAPPY BIDDING. I will accept paypal and the payment must clear before shipping. $250.00 deposit within 24 hours and the rest of the payment is due within 3 days. Sorry No warranty due to the age of the bike. Clear notarized title in hand. Thanks again! On Dec-07-12 at 21:11:44 PST, seller added the following information:While getting the CB750 ready for sale/shipping, I noticed the front caliper was sticking a bit....I rebuilt the caliper with a OEM Honda rebuild kit and even replaced the bleader screw and rubber cap. The battery was also charged to max and the fuel tank filled with gas...All she needs is a new home! Happy bidding. I also noticed the push button start does not work...Like all honda bikes this age. The kick start works great and you can also jump the starter on the electrical side which works fine....just needs a button or the the connections cleaned...thanks againOn Dec-08-12 at 03:34:37 PST, seller added the following information:While getting the CB750 ready for sale/shipping, I noticed the front caliper was sticking a bit....I rebuilt the caliper with a OEM Honda rebuild kit and even replaced the bleader screw and rubber cap.
