Chassis is all as overall 1949 Cadillac; Original independent coil spring lever action shock front suspension, rear axle is a 1957 Oldsmobile with 3.23 open gearing. parallel semi-elliptic multi leaf spring and tube shocks. Tires are radial 15-inch, 235/75 front and 255/70 rear mounted on Chevrolet truck rally wheels. Engine is a modified 400CID BB Chevrolet, 1x4 barrel Holley DF/DP with electric fuel pump, custom headers/3-inch exhaust and Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers. GM/Chevrolet Turbo 400 automatic transmission. .. as that is the way it was since modified in 1964. No other damage is evident and is all steel Car I have owned the Cadillac since 2011, I have know the person/family that originally owned and built the Cadillac in 1964, know the 5-previous owners, raced the car in the mid 1970's with the third owner. Car has 1) Won it's class at the prestigeous Detroit AUTORAMA 2008, 2) Featured-Detroit Automotive Hall of Fame 3) Featured-Automobile Magazine in November 2009 and is known as a Detroit Legend.
